Did You Know...

... that Dive Hard 4.0 expects strong A Class scratch teams come out of the woodwork?

A Class awards in Netheravon
posted Jul 26th, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News is still covering the July 16 weekend, which created a new record overall leaderboard with more than 70 teams in the four NSL categories. Fortunately, the following weekend did not have any meets scheduled at all, which makes it easier to give the record weekend more deserved attention.

The AA Class teams won the competition for the most popular category between the four competition classes, while AAA (17), A (16) and Rookie (17) had a very close race. The A Class teams had the closest battle for the first three places and were eventually separated by one single point. Skybolt and Dive Hard 4.0 ended up tied in 2nd place behind winner TBC.

The competition for the top spots was actually exclusively a British affair. In fact, the A Class teams in the first nine places were all from the United Kingdom. The first U.S. team, Skydive Miami ZT, ended up in 10th place.

A Class top contender TBC
The UK race for the A Class medals will continue at the national championships, where the same category is officially sanctioned by the British Parachute Association (BPA). The A Class is only a competition category at the USPA Collegiates in the U.S.A. while the regional leagues offer it to their teams, as well.

The Rookie Class is also a part of the British national championships, while this category and recruiting field of 4-way teams exists only in the regional NSL leagues and at the NSL Championship.

British A Class teams competed already earlier at the two previous meets of the United Kingdom Skydiving League, and several came back for the last test at Skydive Hibaldstow before the national championships.

A Class top contender Dive Hard 4.0
Only one of all British A Class teams placed within the Top 3 at all three meets. Dive Hard 4.0 won the May meet (11 teams), placed 2nd in June (8 teams) and was tied in 2nd on the July 16 leaderboard. It seems like the team is the top contender for the British A Class gold medals this year.

Each of the three previous meets was a close race though, and the national championships will probably not be much different. On top of that, Dive Hard 4.0 does not trust the field yet that has competed in 2016. Dive Hard 4.0 wants to place in the medals; however, they are expecting strong scratch teams still come "out of the woodwork".

The team enjoys the trip no matter what. The team members combine for for a 200+ team age and are still "learning, having fun and enjoying the competition..." The UK 4-way Nationals are scheduled for the August 22 weekend.
