Sweden completed the ten rounds of the national championships in two days, as Sun Path Products roving reporter Joey Jones reported from Sweden: "My second stop of the year brings me to Skydive Vasteras for the Swedish Nationals. Five teams are in the AAA/Open Class, two in AA, and four in the A category.
In the open category reigning champions Volo are the favorite, but newly formed indoor team Echochamber will be making their first jumps at the competition and hope to push Volo for first place. Battling for the bronze medal position will be the same three teams as last year. Team Nail It has changed one member and their name to Meija."

Then he followed up at the end of the first meet day: "After a 14-hour day the Swedish nationals are almost over. Team Echochamber took two rounds from Volo in the middle of the meet and were looking to strike, but Volo came back strong and is solidly in 1st.
The battle for the bronze medals is the story here. Team Meija, last year's 5th place finisher, is only one point out of 3rd with one round to go. It is a slot switcher so anything can happen. I am sitting at the airport right now watching the internet waiting for scores. Next stop are the Italian nationals - talk to you all in two weeks. Joey Jones out!"

Meija and C4 switched their slots on the leaderboard, and the same three teams will probably be back for the next bronze medal challenge next year.
Gubbstön won the AA Class competition in the team's first national championships in this category. The same team had won Sweden's A Class gold medals last year and posted almost exactly the same meet average (8.1 - 8.2) in the higher category. In the A Class, winner Kwansta Synchro went from last place in 2015 to gold medals this week by increasing the performance level dramatically (6.8 - 11.3) in the team's second year. The Swedish Nationals 2016 also had the highest participation since 2007.
