Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando added three points to the ICL August account on the 12+ leaderboard?

iFLY Orlando team on August 4th
posted Aug 15th, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on August 11th that iFLY SF Bay stole two highscores for the new Indoor Cloud League August sequences from iFLY Orlando. Two Northern Californian Rookie Class lineups (Achal Asawa, Bolek Kulbabinski, Ben Myles, Julius Frank - Lee LaBarge, Camden Michael, Marcel Pomerleau, Mark Fosbury) posted higher numbers in the RR and R categories.

iFLY Orlando's ICL team came back together a week later and tried to improve the previously posted scores, including the ones for the Rookie Class sequences. It did not work out last week, and a different RR Class lineup was only able to tie the 12-pointer that was posted a week before.

The new AA/A lineup (Cathy Luo, Alix Raymond, Brad Weinberg, Nick Davis) actually tied iFLY Orlando's 19-pointer of August 4th, as well. However, two point deductions for center point crossings by the Block 6 pieces brought the score down to 17, and the August 4 lineup (Cathy Luo, Bob Byrne, James Hall, Amer Kassas) still owns the highest iFLY Orlando score in this category.

AAA/AA lineup on August 4th
In fact, four of the six iFLY Orlando scores from August 4th (A - RRR - RR - R) survived the challenge by the new lineups on August 11th, while iFLY Orlando still extended the August lead on the 12+ leaderboard by three points for a new total of 100 points.

The AAA/AA lineup was the only iFLY Orlando team last week that was able to improve the previously posted scores for the two Open/Advanced Class sequences.

It was an interesting situation for the AAA/AA lineup and a special internal challenge, as Sebastian Jimenez, James Hall and Kurt Gaebel had posted both earlier scores (AAA: 17 - AA: 16) with Jimmy Xu in the lineup, who is in the tail slot for Z-Hills PreciZion.

AAA/AA lineup on August 11th
Jimmy Xu was not available on August 11th, and the same 3-way had DeLand Kickers member Leslie Ennergizer back in the AAA/AA lineup.

Leslie Ennergizer usually flies the inside center slot for her team, which required Kurt Gaebel to fill the open tail slot, after flying the center slot of the rear piece with Jimmy Xu on August 4th.

The front piece was unchanged, and the new rear piece combination mastered the same double-pack of Open/Advanced Class sequences three points ahead of the August 4 lineup. The iFLY Orlando team is not done yet for the month of August and will probably try to find a way how to be more competitive in the three Rookie Class categories...
