Did You Know...

... that the ICL teams in Texas are getting ready for the upcoming IBA meet at Woodlands?

iFLY Seattle team in August
posted Sep 5th, 2016 - iFLY Seattle's Indoor Cloud League team and iFLY Dallas added their scores and videos to the August leaderboard right before the month was over.

Four different lineups posted the scores for all six sequences on August 30th at iFLY Seattle. Deb Correia reported that the teams included two Rookie Class competitors (Olga Nikolova, Dave Camden) who each had competed only once before. She also said that the August draw was not an easy one: "The draw last month was a tough one, with some new blocks that aren't that easy in the tunnel (8 and 19). Add to that the AA sequence (D,6,19), with the front piece going over on the 6 and under on the 19."

The challenging sequences made it more difficult to put adequate lineups together, and Deb Correia trusted her coaches with great success: "They decided to go for it. I was blown away by their success! We ended up having a 3-way tie for the AA sequence, including the coaches, who flew the sequence after the regular session was debriefed. We also had ties in the RR and A categories. It's great to see the competition heating up between our own teams!"

Back in action: Deb Correia (2nd from left)
Deb Correia herself was back in action, as well. She had back problems at her last ICL event and took a break. A late cancelation last week required some changes of the lineups, including Deb Correia filling the open slot. She scheduled the groups so that Seattle Swift member Djordje Mandaric could fill in if needed, but she made it through the entire flying session.

iFLY Dallas finished five points ahead of iFLY Seattle after submitting the August data almost exactly at the same time, and iFLY Houston finished only four points behind iFLY Seattle.

Amanda Lampton and her ICL coaches (Scott Latinis, Lucas King, Karen Bilder, Eric Soden, Kyle Hermberg) had a total of nine teams at iFLY Dallas in August, including the AAA Class lineup with four of the coaches (Eric Soden, Amanda Lampton, Lucas King, Kyle Hermberg).

Forward to IBA competition in Houston Woodlands
Five of the nine iFLY Dallas lineups made it onto the ICL August leaderboard. Player coaches Scott Latinis and Karen Bilder guided their Rookie Class lineup with Brian Pirkle and Rob Parker to two of the six highscores. Lucas King actually tied Scott Latinis' 15-pointer for the A Class sequence with Ben Ford, Christine Schmitt and Michael Erickson in his lineup. However, only the video of one of the two teams could be linked to the A Class score.

Amanda Lampton's iFLY Dallas team is now heading to iFLY Woodlands in Houston next weekend, where the IBA tunnel meet includes a 4-way competition for AAA and AA Class teams. She said that her own team Dallas 350 will, of course, be competing...

The Dallas 350 members (Amanda Lampton, Lucas King, Scott Latinis, Scott Levy) will bring six teams total in 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-ways while several iFLY Houston teams will try to defend their home turf...
