The 4-way Women competition started at the same time, and the French Girls had a new alternate in the lineup for the world meet. Perrine Sanchez, 4-way Women world champion of 2012 and 2014, is not available any longer.

She explained that she is pregnant with her second baby after the last gold medal, and her team needed to find a new alternate. Gaelle Giesen, member of the French "farm teams", has the opportunity to attend her first world meet as the new alternate.

The Canadian national team in 4-way Women, Parachute Montreal Fuzion, has taken the bronze medal position after Round 2, and the Sun Path Products NSL News found Richard Bisson filming the team during the last preparations for Round 1.

Richard Bisson's daughter Valerie is in the tail slot for Fuzion, while her father competes with the Canadian 8-way team Divergence. 20-year old Valerie Bisson now competes at her second world meet and matches Benoit Lemay's record as the youngest Canadian 4-way competitor at a world meet.
