This time, the teams in 4-way Open and 4-way Women applied once again the same competition draw at the FAI Mondial 2016, which allows the audience to compare the scores directly.
The two strongest teams in 4-way Women, Golden Knights and French Girls, finished in 5th (France) and 7th (U.S.A.) at the previous World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Prostejov 2014. The placements were even better at the World Air Games 2015 where the Golden Knights placed 4th and the French Girls 5th. The indoor performance of the French Girls was still stronger at the World Challenge 2016 where they placed right behind NMP PCH HayaBusa in 2nd place.

However, Golden Knights and French Girls finished easily in the Top 10 on the extended leaderboard, and both teams were within striking distance of the Open Class bronze medal position throughout the first six rounds and before the French Open Class team picked up the pace.
The latest results at the FAI Mondial 2016 have changed the power rankings of female 4-way competitors at the same time.
The French national team in 4-way Open has former French Girls member Laurence Herve in the point slot, and she won the bronze medals with her new and young lineup. The 23.8 average at Skydive Chicago is higher than Golden Knights and French Girls have posted for meet averages in the past.
In fact, there are only three female 4-way competitors who have ever scored higher at a 10-round meet, Perris Fury's Christy Frikken, Arizona Airspeed's Eliana Rodriguez and JaNette Lefkowitz, all of them in 4-way Open Class lineups. JaNette Lefkowitz is now going back to Rhythm trying to improve the team's highest average with the new lineup and then try to win the USPA Nationals 2017 to compete again at the World Meet 2018. There she could meet Laurence Herve again, this time in the 4-way Open Class competition...
