posted Sep 29th, 2016 - The new Sun Path Products NSL News update connects both most recent events once again directly with each other, the FAI Mondial 2016 and the Russian Nationals 2016.

Russia was represented by four teams in the Formation Skydiving competition at the Mondial, and DZ Grozniy competed in 4-way Women. It is the 4th year for the same team with different lineups, who competed formerly under the Infra Red Band name.

Team captain Evgenia Korjova said that her team under-performed at the Mondial, where they were aiming at a 15-average scoring level. DZ Grozniy now used the Russian Nationals to show the real potential of this year's new lineup and finished with a 15.1 average.

A 15+ average at Skydive Chicago would have brought DZ Grozniy into contention for the 5th place on the 4-way Women leaderboard, where they actually ended up in 9th place with a 13.0 average. The 15.1 average placed Grozniy in 6th place on the national AAA Class leaderboard, which includes teams in 4-way Open and 4-way Women.

There was a second Russian all-female 4-way team on the combined leaderboard, coached by former national competitor Vladimir Ostanin, who trained and competed last with Sunny Wind. The Girls could not keep up with Grozniy, while still showing great potential to become a serious contender for the female top spot in Russia very soon.

Egor Gusev won the coaching competition between the two all-female teams, and he joined the NSL Talk conversation with team captain Evgenia Korjova on Thursday.

Evgenia Korjova and Egor Gusev both translated and interpreted for the third NSL Talk participant Alexander Korovin, who represented the new skydiving center in Grozniy, which is currently under construction.

Grozniy is the Capital of the Chechen Republic (Grozny, Chechnya), which is a part of Russia, and is located between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea with a Mediterranean climate.

The new skydiving center in Grozniy includes a 17-foot wind tunnel, which is also under construction. Alexander Korovin expects drop zone and wind tunnel ready for operation next year. DZ Grozniy is bidding to host the national championships in the future, probably taking turns with DZ Tanay.

Evgenia Korjova and Egor Gusev are not competing in the national 16-way competition, which was in full swing on Thursday, and had enough time for the latest NSL Talk.
