Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando launched the Indoor Cloud League November competition with 78 points?

iFLY Orlando's ICL team last Thursday
posted Nov 6th, 2016 - iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League team had a slow start into the important month of November.

The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on November 4th how iFLY SF Bay is trying to catch up towards the top spot on the leaderboard for the 12+ flying chambers. There is only a 14-point difference (1226 - 1212) between iFLY Orlando and iFLY SF Bay after the October competition, with two more months to go this year.

The leaderboard for the complete 2016 season is showing that a 14-point difference can easily be turned in just one month. iFLY SF Bay won the February competition by 17 points over iFLY Orlando and July by 14. iFLY Orlando won April by 37 points and June by 22. The outcome at the end of December is still wide open.

iFLY Orlando's AA Class lineup last Thursday
The slow start is neither necessarily a bad one for iFLY Orlando's ICL team nor unusual. The first FSL Tunnel Kicker is mainly dedicated to the training of basic individual and team skills each month. The participants still take on the new ICL sequences for the month at the end of the flying session and put some scores on the leaderboard.

Last Thursday, the participants formed three different lineups with their player coaches and tested five of the six November sequences. The total of 78 points does not include a score for the AAA Class yet, which will most likely be added after the second event of the month next week.

Yvonne Saa, Brad Weinberg, Amer Kassas, James Hall and Sebastian Jimenez took on one of the two AAA/AA Class sequences, the one that does not include the slot switching Block 16, and left the memory sequence open for the next AAA Class lineup. James Hall and Sebastian Jimenez took turns in the Outside Center position, while Yvonne Saa (Point), Brad Weinberg (Tail) and Amer Kassas (Inside Center) flew each session.

Amer Kassas also joined forces with his SCZ ZEUS team mate Mark Messersmith in a second lineup. Mark Messersmith is in the point slot for ZEUS, and both recently competed at their first USPA Nationals.

New player coach Robert Chromy had guided ZEUS to a new team record average at the USPA Nationals where they finished with a 7.7 average in the middle of the 26-team field.

ZEUS Evolve member Kanishka Perera was in the same lineup last Thursday. His team competes in the Rookie Class this year, and he uses the FSL Tunnel Kicker/ICL events to get familiar with the first set of blocks that will come to his team next year in the A Class. His team's coach Bob Byrne completed the lineup.
