Did You Know...

... that an iFLY Orlando ICL team will challenge iFLY Seattle on NWSL home turf?

iFLY Orlando's ICL team last Thursday
posted Nov 12th, 2016 - Last week had a busy indoor agenda. The Czech teams launched their winter season of the European Tunnel League (ETL) with a 10-round meet at the Hurricane Factory on Wednesday, and iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League team posted new scores for the November sequences after the FSL Tunnel Kicker event on Thursday.

The iFLY Orlando team was still short of a score and video for the AAA Class sequence after the first event on November 3rd and added a 17-pointer to this month's total. Cathy Luo joined the AAA Class lineup in a new slot (Tail) after her previous events as the Outside Center for AA Class sequences only.

The 17-pointer is a challenging benchmark for the AAA Class lineup at the next iFLY Orlando event, which will be the last one for the month of November. The same lineup also improved the score for the AA Class lineup by three points.

iFLY Orlando's AAA Class lineup
Yvonne Saa, Leslie Eggenberger, Sebastian Jimenez and Jimmy Xu then lifted the 15-pointer for the A Class sequence to 23 and added eight more points to the November total. The same lineup has also registered for the IBA competition at iFLY Seattle in December.

The Indoor Cloud League began as a monthly duel between iFLY Orlando and iFLY Seattle, which pitched teams and competitors of the Northwest and Florida Skydiving League against each other at indoor events on a regular basis all year long.

It will be the first time that a team from Florida competes on NWSL home turf at iFLY Seattle, and it is a strong lineup. Jimmy Xu just won the USPA gold medals in the AA/Intermediate Class at the USPA Nationals 2016 with Zhills PreciZion. Yvonne Saa won the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015 in the same category with Team Kaputt.

4-way rookie Foster Crossman with his lineup
iFLY Orlando's ICL team last Thursday improved the scores for the three technical categories (AAA - AA - A) and could not add any points to the total for the three Rookie Class sequences (RRR - RR - R). Kanishka Perera, Bob Byrne, James Hall and Ed Ganley tied the previously posted 17-pointer, which was not enough to make it onto the ICL November leaderboard.

4-way Rookie Foster Crossman collected his very first experiences after working on basic individual skills earlier the same night. He performed two of the three Rookie Class sequences, together with two player coaches and USPA 8-way Intermediate Class winner of 1996, Ed Ganley.

Ed Ganley had a serious comeback this year and competed at the USPA Nationals 2016 in several categories. His 8-way team Orange Instinct won the traditional award for good sports and fun vibes. It was his 4th time to win the same award...
