Did You Know...

... that the first NSL-TV video provides an overview and interviews from Prostejov?

Drop zone in Prostejov
posted Aug 31st, 2009 - The NSL News is back at the FAI World Cup 2009 in the Czech Republic with today's next story. The missing Russian teams have arrived, and Misha Mineev's former team mates are getting ready for the competition.

Today's first update from Prostejov brings the first video with live scenes from the competition site. The NSL-TV camera captured this morning's activities at a very lively drop zone.

It begins with an overview of the busiest place during the day, the space between the team hangar and the boarding area. There is an elevated creeper pad on a stage where the teams have plenty of space for their preparations. It offers a different perspective for the observers who watch from ground level.

Busy manifest today
The NSL-TV camera captured the Spanish 8-way team in the middle of a dirtdive and Camscore's Andy Mansfield and Jo Bell walking across on their way back to the busy judging stations and DZ-TV headquarters. The judges have been quite impressed so far with what Camscore has to offer.

IPC Controller Pal Bergan and IPC Delegate Trdue Sviggum arrived from Norway and walked right into the NSL-TV outdoor studio. There was no hesitation, and former international 8-way competitor Pal Bergan took a few minutes to comment the event site for the NSL News after his first impressions.

Joey Jones in Prostejov
Then the NSL-TV camera captured an activity that first looked like a 4-way team's dirtdive. It was and it wasn't.

The US VRW team prepared for a training jump, and the dirtdive looks very similar to a 4-way Formation Skydiving team. However, there are still major differences, and the video shows them...

Last not least, Joey Jones walked by and stopped for a view words for the NSL News. He coaches Hayabusa Defence and Sweden's national team Evolution at the World Cup 2009. He said that he expects the Belgian national team to win the 4-way competition. He reported that Hayabusa scored a 33.0 average at the recent CISM competition. The NSL News will follow up later with a Hayabusa video of this event.
