Did You Know...

... that four of iFLY Orlando's ICL competitors have a busy and challenging December schedule?

iFLY Orlando's AAA Class lineup last Thursday
posted Dec 6th, 2016 - The Indoor Cloud League update on December 4th from iFLY SF Bay explained how close the race is for the 2016 top spot on the 12+ leaderboard. iFLY Orlando's ICL team is one single point ahead of iFLY SF Bay (1338 - 1337) after the conclusion of the November competition.

The six sequences for the last monthly competition of the year will bring the final conclusion of this exciting duel. As usual, the AAA Class has a 6-point sequence with a slot switcher, which is Block 17 this time, for the 12+ flying chambers. Danish T - Murphy brings memory to both pieces, which serves as a nice challenge for the last AAA Class sequence of the year. The AA Class sequence could also be drawn for any AAA Class competition, while it is only a 5-point sequence without a slot switcher.

The ICL 12+ teams have only Block 17 with a piece move in the sequence. All other sequences require good individual skills for winning scores, including the two other 12+ blocks (9 and 14).

Four sequences - Two scores: AA - A - RRR - RR
iFLY Orlando's ICL team took on five of the six December sequences on the first day of the month last Thursday and posted the first scores of the final showdown.

Three lineups combined for the current total of 86 points, which is a slow start into the most important month of the year. iFLY Orlando is also missing a score for the RR Class sequence after the first ICL event this month. Yvonne Saa, Cathy Luo, Kanishka Perera and Bob Byrne actually performed four of the six sequences but had to drop two, as one lineup may only post scores for two neighboring categories, according to the ICL rules.

This lineup is not eligible to post scores in the RR Class, and another of the three teams finished with a higher score for the AA Class sequence. iFLY Orlando still has the whole month of December to add the missing RR Class score and improve the current total significantly.

iFLY Orlando's Rookie Class lineup
The holiday season does not make it easier to schedule ICL events, and the NSL Championship 2016 will also keep Florida's ICL team from using the scheduled indoor time for the December sequences.

On top of that, a team of iFLY Orlando's ICL competitors is also traveling to iFLY Seattle this week, where they will attend the IBA December meet on Thursday. Yvonne Saa (Point) and Sebastian Jimenez (Outside Center) warmed up at iFLY Orlando's 12-foot flying chamber in two different lineups for the upcoming competition in iFLY Seattle's 14-foot chamber.

They will have new USPA Intermediate Class champion Jimmy Xu (Tail) and Leslie Eggenberger (Inside Center) in their lineup. They will first try to win in Seattle, then compete at the NSL Championships and finally help to improve iFLY Orlando's December scores to fend off the iFLY SF Bay challenge...
