Did You Know...

... that the Czech Rookie Class teams are progressing too quickly?

Bad Boys lineup in January
posted Jan 30th, 2017 - The Czech 4-way teams started the Indoor Cloud League 2017 season at the Hurricane Factory in Prague with a very strong statement.

Nine of the 13 teams that competed at the WTL/ETL meet in January also joined forces to perform the six sequences for the ICL 14+ leaderboard. Result was a total of 137 points and five of the six highscores.

iFLY Tampa's AAA Class lineup is still holding the 20-pointer highscore for the AAA sequence, tied with Bad Boys and HF Chicks.

The RRR Class lineups of iFLY Seattle and iFLY Tampa are the only teams who outscored the Czech team in this category, Mimozemky.

Flying Circus in January
Jan Klapka's ICL team had once again very strong internal competition for the spots on the ICL January leaderboard. Four teams took on the AAA sequence with the slot switching Block 12.

Bad Boys and HF Chicks both scored their 20-pointers, and the Bad Boys had the upper hand in the AA Class by one point. Flying Circus tied the HF Chicks with a 20-pointer in the same category.

The Bad Boys did not have the complete lineup available this month, and they scrambled their slots to accommodate substitute Marian Jeziak, who used the fly the point slot for the Bad Boys until the end of the 2015 season.

Outside center Jan Lukavec moved to inside center and replaced Vaclav Prokes, while point Jaroslav Smitka switched to his B-slot in the front piece. This allowed Marian Jeziak and Jan Klapka to stay in their original slots.

The new front piece of the Bad Boys managed the AAA slot switcher well and finished the AAA/AA double-pack one point ahead of the HF Chicks (41 - 40).

Youngest Czech Rookie Class lineup: HF Junior Green
The competition in AA/A was even tougher with six teams for each of the two sequences. The three Czech 4-way junior teams (FH Cubs - HF Flies - HF Blue) were outscored by senior teams this month. Accord (A) and Mimozemky (RRR) took care of two of the six sequences, and the Mirek Team was too strong for the HF Blue juniors.

However, Mirek Team is done with two of the three Rookie Class sequences (R - RR) after posting two times 25 points or higher. Mimozemky and Mirek Team are already battling in the next two categories, and they will join HF Cubs and HF Flies soon in the AA Class, as well.

Jan Klapka has a new problem, which is not really new, and it is a good problem to have. His Rookie Class teams keep improving too quickly. HF Junior Blue is still eligible for the two lowest Rookie Class sequences, while testing the A Class already. The HF Green junior juniors will probably have to help out very soon...
