Did You Know...

... that Florida's ICL competitors are getting ready for the WTL March meet?

AAA/AA Class lineup at iFLY Tampa
posted Feb 19th, 2017 - iFLY Tampa's new Indoor Cloud League team followed up on the first participation in January and posted a full set of six scores and videos last Thursday for February's 14+ leaderboard.

Several of the participants in Tampa had attended ICL events in iFLY Orlando's flying chamber before, which did not allow two of the blocks that were drawn for February's 14+ sequences. Block 4 (Monopod - Monopod) was in the A Class sequence, and the AAA/AA Class teams took on Block 8 (Canadian T - Canadian T) for the first time.

The complete AAA/AA Class lineup at iFLY Tampa is new to AAA/Open Class competition, even though two of the team members, last year's Z-Hills PreciZion members Erica Gorski and Jimmy Xu, have been training the two specific blocks and performed them well at the USPA Nationals 2016.

The AAA Class sequence added something to the February experience that was completely new to all four members. The AA/Intermediate Class dive pool includes Blocks 4 and 8; however, AAA Class Block 16 (Compressed Accordion - Box) switches the front piece partners in their slots on every other page.

Last year's two USPA gold medalists knew both blocks in their A-slots, while Point Erica Gorski now had to perform Block 8 and the whole sequence in the Outside Center slot, as well. Tail Jimmy Xu did not face a slot switcher in the rear piece, while AAA Class Block 16 was still new to him.

Block 8 was completely new to Orlando Tunnel Kickers Leslie Eggenberger and Sebastian Jimenez, while they both had performed Block 16 in their previous 12-foot home chamber.

James Hall and Jimmy Xu with DeLand Fast4ward
Several of Florida's ICL competitors in Tampa will now compete at the March meet of the World Tunnel League where they will measure up with the Czech 4-way teams in the Hurricane Factory.

Erica Gorski, Jimmy Xu and Sebastian Jimenez will have Christine Freiherr in their lineup for the 10-round meet. There will be internal AAA Class competition with another AAA Class team. Last year's Z-Hills PreciZion player coach Sally Hathaway has Yvonne Saa, James Hall and Kurt Gaebel in her lineup and will challenge two of her former team mates.

Jimmy Xu and James Hall are new team mates in 2017 for DeLand Fast4ward. They will first compete against each other on March 9th before they will post their first scores together at the Shamrock Showdown 2017.
