Did You Know...

... that the FSL Tunnel Kicker was a warm-up opportunity for the upcoming World Tunnel League meet?

AA/AA scores for iFLY Tampa - Rivals this Thursday
posted Mar 5th, 2017 - Florida Skydiving League competitors came together last Thursday for the third time at iFLY's new wind tunnel in Tampa and posted a complete set of Indoor Cloud League scores and videos for the 14+ March leaderboard.

Both February leaderboards are not complete yet, and the first March scores came early in the new month after an additional FSL Tunnel Kicker was scheduled when the previous one in February was sold out quickly.

This week's Thursday time was not available since it has been dedicated to the first World Tunnel League competition in Tampa.

Teams from Florida and the Czech Republic will use the same synchronized competition draw and rules this week to post their scores together on the same leaderboard as soon as both meets in the Hurricane Factory and in iFLY Tampa will be completed and judged. Eight teams are currently registered for the competition in Tampa.

Complete last Thursday - Back for the WTL Meet
Several of the participants used last Thursday's additional FSL Tunnel Kicker to get more practice before the 10-round competition this week, although only one of the lineups was identical with the ones who are registered for the WTL meet.

The lineup that posted the highest AAA/AA scores in Tampa last Thursday will split into two different teams for the ten rounds this week.

Erica Gorski and Sebastian Jimenez will have Christine Freiherr and Jimmy Xu in their lineup, while Amer Kassas and Kurt Gaebel compete together with Sally Hathaway and Bob Byrne.

Amer Kassas is also bringing his modified SCZ ZEUS lineup with Bill Bickner, Bob Byrne and Robert Chromy for the AA Class competition.

His second team is signed up for the AAA Class, which will be a new experience for him.

MWSL Director Howy Hensen with Dan BC in 2001
Erica Gorski, Christine Freiherr, Sebastian Jimenez and Jimmy Xu will have more competition in Tampa, as Team Kaputt has a reunion.

The AA Class winner of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015 is back with Sally Hathaway for Brian Johnson in the lineup and competes in the AAA Class, as well.

Both teams have scheduled additional training sessions in Tampa this week, while Amer Kassas' AAA Class lineup had last Thursday's FSL Tunnel Kicker as the warm-up event.

Howard Hensen stepped into the A/RRR lineup on a short notice when Scott Jones could not make it to Tampa in time.

He was the first and original director of the Midwest Skydiving Skydiving League over 15 years ago, which is now organized by SDC Rhythm XP, and he happened to be at iFLY Tampa when the slot opened up. Welcome back, Howy...
