Did You Know...

... that the Indoor Cloud League February competition brought several national teams together?

Phoenix XP at the Paraclete XP Indoor 2017
posted Mar 7th, 2017 - The February competition of the Indoor Cloud League in the 14+ category created an interesting leaderboard situation in IPC's 4-way Women and 4-way Junior events.

Hurricane Factory Chicks and CZ Ladies are used to compete with and against each other at the Hurricane Factory events in the Czech Republic.

Both teams have competed for their country at international FAI meets, the HF Chicks only at indoor events, and the CZ Ladies in 4-way Women at the FAI Mondial 2016.

The ICL February competition brought a new team into the 4-way Women picture that the Sun Path Products NSL News had introduced on 2 February 2017. Phoenix XP is aiming at the 4-way Women slot in the U.S. delegation for the FAI World Meet 2018 in Australia, where they will meet one of the Czech teams in 4-way Women.

Phoenix could also meet HF Chicks or CZ Ladies already earlier at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017 in Montreal.

Back in outdoor action next week: Parachute Montreal Fuzion
The HF Chicks are far ahead at this point in time, as Phoenix just started the team training. The Czech team had posted a 20.9 average at the Wind Games in January, and Phoenix had finished with a 16.5 average at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2017 a month later.

The scores on the Indoor Cloud League 14+ leaderboard for February confirmed the current scoring levels and the HF Chicks' indoor dominance. However, Phoenix was much closer to the CZ Ladies who were the national team in 4-way Women at last year's FAI outdoor competition. There was only a 1-point difference in AAA and AA to CZ Ladies and HF Flying Circus, who tied their February scores at the Hurricane Factory.

SkyVenture Montreal is the home of another national team in 4-way Women, Fuzion, who competed for Canada at the Mondial 2016 and placed 4th. Fuzion has not posted scores on the ICL leaderboards yet; however, the Canadian team will launch the 2017 competition season next week at the Shamrock Showdown 2017.

Reigning FAI Inddor World Cup champions: Air Devils from Canada
Canada's Bisson family team 4Astrophe, this time only with father Richard and son Yannick, posted the ICL AAA Class score for SkyVenture Montreal, host of the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017. The Air Devils, last year's FAI Indoor World Cup champions in 4-way Junior, took care of the AA Class sequence, also with Yannick Bisson in the lineup.

The Czech 4-way juniors, HF Cubs and HF Flies, contributed three of the six scores from the Hurricane Factory to the February total. They can compare their scores directly with the Canadian Air Devils who will defend their home turf in Montreal against other 4-way juniors at the indoor world meet.

The Air Devils also posted the A Class highscore (20) on the February leaderboard. However, the HF Junior Cubs scored only one single point behind with their 19-pointer. The Canadian 4-way juniors had finished 33 points ahead of the Cubs after eight rounds at Flyspot in Poland. The difference might be much less this year...
