The competition has been as exciting as it had to be expected, even though Arizona Airspeed is nine points ahead of SDC Rhythm XP after Round 6.
The situation between the two U.S. top contenders was similar compared to the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2017 where Airspeed lost the meet in one single round, the first one of the competition. The problem in Round 1 caused a 7-point loss for Airspeed, which turned out to be too much to make up for.
SDC Rhythm XP lost five points in Round 4 of the Shamrock Showdown, which had the fastest sequence of the competition. Airspeed had taken a 3-point lead in Round 3 and then added the five points in Round 4. Other than that, both teams were completely on eye level in the other four of the six rounds.
The new NSL Reality TV clip features the final preparations of the teams for Round 1 on Friday morning. Arizona Airspeed and SDC Rhythm XP were on the same loads for their competition rounds and shared the Twin Otter with the Adventure Flyers from Paraguay.
Parachute Montreal Fuzion, Elixir and Simba have been on the second load. The Canadian team finished the first competition day in an unfortunate way. The Cataccord exit formation of Round 6 did not fly very well, and the damage was significant. However, Fuzion were back with the usual big smiles on their faces on Saturday morning.
Teams receive a handicap according to their scores after the first five rounds, which then determine the Skins Game scores for each following round. The handicap is adjusted after each round.
Elixir won the first $200 of the Skins Game in Round 6 with the 21-pointer and 24.75 points after handicap. The raw score was only one point behind Rhythm and two points behind Airspeed. The Adventure Flyers were close to the $200 with 24.45 points for the 9-pointer in Round 6.
The weather conditions on Saturday morning are still perfect, and the first scores and videos for Round 7 will be posted very soon.
