Did You Know...

... that NMP PCH HayaBusa's 8-way interest may have started at Paraclete XP 2014?

Fly-In Machine 44: 29.4 at Weembi
posted Mar 29th, 2017 - The Sun Path Products NSL News covered the 8-way competition at the French Indoor Nationals 2017 and the impressive Fly-In Machine 44 performance with the update on 26 March 2017.

The story mentioned that the 8-way teams completed all ten rounds at Weembi, even though the competition was actually over after six rounds. There was not enough time left for the official judging of the remaining four rounds.

However, Weembi Lille member Julien Degen, host of the event and 8-way world champion of 2006 and 2008, promised the 8-way teams that he would follow up with the missing scores of the last four rounds. He kept his promise and took his own time for judging the additional 48 meet videos.

The 8-way leaderboard is complete with the scores of all ten rounds, and not much has changed. Only Monaco improved the placement by making up the 4-point difference and winning by one point over Team Hell Veloce, due to a bad Round 7 for one of Martial Ferre's 8-way project teams.

Voltevobusa at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2014
The scores after the first six rounds might have given the impression that Belgium's Fly-In Machine 44 took advantage of the fast sequence in Round 6 to generate the 27.8 average.

However, the additional four rounds did not only confirm the world class performance level. NMP PCH HayaBusa's 8-way team even improved the 27.8 after six rounds to a 29.4 average with four more impressive 8-way rounds.

The Sun Path Products NSL News mentioned in the same earlier update that only the Golden Knights have ever scored higher for a single round with a 43-pointer in Round 10 of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2014.

Fly-In Machine 44 with the 29.4 average at Weembi has now also become the third highest all-time 8-way scorer.

Only the Golden Knights (31.8 - 30.7) and Paraclete XP's 8-way lineup (29.6) have ever posted higher averages - two of them at the same event in 2014.

Interestingly enough, three NMP PCH HayaBusa members showed their interest in 8-way already at the same event. Dennnis Praet, David and Andy Grauwels joined forces with Damien Gouriou and Pierre Emmanuel Balages of the French national 4-way team Volt'R, who
competed with their own team at Paraclete, as well.

Julien Degen and Mathieu Bernier were also in Raeford with Volt'R, the French national 4-way team of 2014, and Katie Woods completed the 8-way pickup team. HayaBusa's Roy Janssen did not join in 8-way for the last four rounds, where Voltevobusa posted a 25.8 average.

Paraclete's lineup consisted of Doug Barron, John D'Annunzio, Andrew Happick, Brian Krause, Matt McLean, Will Pesek, Dalton Samuelson and Kirk Verner.

The last four rounds at Weembi also broke the tie between VAirmaxxx Véloce and Shamalairlouche Clermont after Round 6, who were dueling for French national bronze medals in 8-way. Player coach Martial Ferre, 8-way world champion of 2010, won the last four rounds with his VAirmaxxx Véloce lineup by five points.
