Did You Know...

... that the Czech 4-way teams seem to be ready for the World Challenge 2017?

Ready for Bedford: HF Flying Circus
posted Apr 3rd, 2017 - The March competition of the Indoor Cloud League is over, and the leaderboard begins to fill up with scores and videos.

Bad Boys member Jan Klapka provided the latest information from the Hurricane Factory, and his team has once again taken the lead on the 14+ leaderboard with a total of 116 points for the six March sequences.

The top position of the Czech ICL team is nothing new; however, there are a few things that could be called surprises after taking a closer look at the details coming from the Czech Republic.

Neither the Bad Boys nor the HF Chicks scored the highest numbers for the two Open Class sequences (AAA - AA). In fact, both teams did not even perform the AA Class sequence last month. They had no extra training scheduled in March, and their AAA scores are identical with the ones of the World Tunnel League's (WTL) March meet, where Round 10 was identical with the AAA Class sequence for the 14+ chambers in March.

19.1 average at the World Challenge 2015: HF Chicks
The HF Flying Circus, who joined the AAA Class competition at the beginning of the 2016/2017 winter season after one year in the AA Class, were training in March and had the opportunity to improve the team's own 20-pointer in Round 10 of the WTL March meet.

Flying Circus has tied or even outscored Bad Boys and HF Chicks in a round here and there at previous WTL meets in the Hurricane Factory. It was still the first time that they eventually outscored all other Czech AAA Class teams in both categories.

Flying Circus seems to be well prepared for the team's first AAA Class competition away from home. They will represent the Czech Republic in the AAA Class competition of the World Challenge 2017, together with HF Skycentrum.

Ready for Bedford: HF 4-way Junior teams
It's still early for the young Czech team in the AAA Class. However, they could be aiming at the highest average that a Czech team has posted in Bedford so far. The HF Chicks had finished with a 19.1 average at the World Challenge 2015.

Bad Boys and HF Chicks have broken the 20-average benchmark several times on home turf at the Hurricane Factory, including the 21.2 average by the HF Chicks at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2015. The 19.1 average is still the highest result at a World Challenge.

The three Czech 4-way junior teams (Cubs - Flies - Blue) took care of the scores in the other four ICL categories. They will all make the trip to Bedford this week, as well, and they seem to be just as well prepared as Flying Circus is.

Cubs and Flies recently posted their highest 10-round meet averages in the AA Class and added impressive numbers to the ICL March leaderboard.
