posted Apr 26th, 2017 - The Indoor Cloud League has a new competitor in the 14+ category as Paraclete XP joins the competition in 2017. Although the Raeford, NC-based wind tunnel has posted scores since January, the ICL crowd is now in its second month of full-fledged competition and this eager group is ready to dominate the scoreboard.

"Our participants are hungry to compete," says Morgan Womble, who coordinates the events alongside Jess Haugaard. "There is a lot of rising talent in our area, and we have been looking for opportunities to get people fired up to train and win. ICL is the perfect venue."

Heeding the call, skydivers have trekked to Paraclete XP from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia to participate. Paraclete XP is no stranger to competition, and ICL participants are privileged to learn from some of the best in the world. Recent coaches have included past/current Golden Knights and several USPA Open Class competitors.

Adeptly balancing coaching between eight teams, the AAA Class team of Drew Starr, Joey Freeman, Matt Acord, and Lauren Byrd posted the highscore in the AAA Class. Other USPA Nationals-bound teams were represented by participants, included Ranch 2nd Generation, Phoenix XP, Connection XP, and TSC Cadence.

"It's been an incredible experience so far," says Haugaard. "Several local teams are looking for additional chances to train and hone their skills each month. They've found it."

At a more basic level, several ICL competitors have been licensed skydivers from less than a year, yet they continue to improve and excel. "The ratio of talent to experience level is incredible," says Haugaard. "We are focused on grabbing young skydivers straight off their A license and grooming them to compete in RW. We are creating a powerhouse from within."
