Did You Know...

... that Florida posted scores on both Indoor Cloud League leaderboards?

Three Blue Steel members with Sally Hathaway
posted May 1st, 2017 - Florida's indoor teams and competitors had just as much a very busy month of April as the Indoor Cloud League participants of the Northern California Skydiving League.

The April schedule began with the FSL Tunnel Kicker on the 6th where the first set of six scores and videos for the ICL 14+ leaderboard were generated.

The April meet of the World Tunnel League followed on the 13th, and last week's second FSL Tunnel Kicker of the month wrapped up the event schedule.

Florida's 4-way community is still on a hold for resuming the Indoor Cloud League activities at iFLY Orlando. However, the west coast participants in the iFLY Tampa area compensated for the first time for the lack of scores and videos from Florida on the ICL 12+ leaderboard. Last Thursday, the FSL Tunnel Kickers also took on the three different sequences (AAA - AA - A) which can be performed in a 12+ flying chamber.

AAA/AA Class lineup for the 14+ sequences
Two different lineups performed the Open Class sequences (AAA/AA) which are still quite similar to each other. The AAA Class sequences include the same random formations (L,D) and the same slot switcher (Block 3). Only the additional block is different, which makes it a longer 6-point sequence in the AAA Class.

Three Blue Steel members (Erica Gorski, Jimmy Xu, Sebastian Jimenez) and player coach Sally Hathaway took on the AAA/AA sequences for the 12+ leaderboard and tied iFLY Sacramento's 20-pointer for the AAA sequence and then posted the sole AA highscore.

Sebastian Jimenez was back with player coach Sally Hathaway to add the 14+ scores for the same categories. Yvonne Saa and Amer Kassas completed the second AAA/AA lineup. Hands Full, a 2016 pickup team formerly known as Schindler's List, was visiting Florida for a training camp in DeLand after committing for the 2017 season with new member Tim McKee and added the 13-pointer for the A Class sequence on the 12+ leaderboard.

Fine-tuning: Noel Damouni and Adam Himel with Bob Byrne
Florida's 18-pointer for the 14+ leaderboard was generated at the beginning of the month, as well as the 14-pointer for the R Class sequence.

The FSL Tunnel Kickers also include skills training for all experience levels. Last Thursday's event included two 1-on-1 training sessions where Adam Himel and Noel Damouni each worked with coach Bob Byrne to fine-tune their individual skills.

Both had competed earlier in Rookie Class lineups at ICL events in Orlando and Tampa, and they prepare themselves for the next steps in the 4-way progression.

The new Indoor Cloud League May sequences are posted, while the April leaderboard will still be updated with scores, videos and stories in the coming days.
