posted May 10th, 2017 - Many of the 4-way junior teams in the world have recently been training and competing in the AA Class since this is the official FAI/IPC category for the world cups and world meets.

Rookie Class and A Class are stepping stones for the youngsters in the sport that some of them apply at home and at local or regional events, such as the World Tunnel League or the Indoor Cloud League meets.

The FAI Indoor World Meet allows only one 4-way Junior team per nation to compete for medals, while up to four teams can sign up for world cups. However, the junior teams and competitors have to be ready for the AA Class dive pool when they travel to the main FAI/IPC events.

The 4-way junior competition at FAI/IPC and all other events has also been embedded in the whole Formation Skydiving competition, which consists with a vast majority of adult competitors.

The overview of 4-way junior teams competing this year is showing the big gap between the beginner level in the Rookie Class and the competitive level of the teams who are trying to win medals for their countries at the FAI/IPC events.

All junior teams were also on the same leaderboards together with the 4-way senior teams, and they shared the complete meet environment with each other.

World Challenge host Paul Mayer has welcome and observed many 4-way juniors at his event since 2008, when U.S. Team Future with the Tinucci siblings Kayla and Justin competed with player coach Rusty Lewis and Daniel Perry in the lineup.

Paul Mayer believes that the 4-way juniors deserve not only their separate leaderboard in the future, as FAI/IPC offers them their own medals at world meets and world cups. He is going a step further and has created the World Youth Championship, exclusively for juniors in 4-way and in an artistic category.

He will use only the A Class dive pool for an 8-round competition, which is scheduled for September 23rd this year. He said that it will be easy for the AA Class teams to step down and enjoy an easier draw, while the current Rookie Class juniors have enough time to learn the eight blocks of the A Class.

This will allow all 4-way juniors to appear on the same leaderboard without any senior interference. Best of all, Paul Mayer invites the 4-way juniors to compete for free. There is no registration fee for all 4-way juniors under the age of 18...
