Did You Know...

... that iFLY Seattle has taken the Indoor Cloud League lead on the 14+ leaderboard?

30-pointer at first event: Erik Byng (left)
posted Jun 3rd, 2017 - Deb Correia's Indoor Cloud League team of Northwest Skydiving League 4-way competitors needed only three lineups for the May sequences to take the current lead on the 14+ leaderboard.

Her ICL team came together at iFLY Seattle only once last month, as the NWSL outdoor season is approaching quickly, and the teams are trying to get ready for exits from jump planes: "That's what happens when the skydiving season gets started here in the Northwest..."

However, she still had one new Indoor Cloud League competitor in her three lineups. Erik Byng was in the Rookie Class lineup that turned in the highscores for the R and RR sequences, together with Olga Nikolova and player coaches Deb and Dave Correia.

The 30-pointer in the R Class in his first ICL event put Erik Byng right away on the 25+ list of competitors who have to move up into the next category after the next 25+ score. Deb Correia hopes that he will still come back for future events...

Back from Japan: Isaac Bahr (2nd from right)
Deb Correia also reported from iFLY Seattle that Isaac Bahr was back for a couple of weeks and re-joined the NWSL team. He has been living and working in Japan and now helped to turn in the iFLY Seattle highscores for the RRR and A sequences, together with Randy Barbee, Nat Mote and player coach Djordje Mandaric.

Isaac Bahr is hoping that he will be back in Seattle for most of the NWSL outdoor meets this summer, which begin with the first meet on the June 17 weekend.

There was actually a 4th iFLY Seattle lineup for the Rookie Class sequences (Steve Kowalczik, Gary Dutton, Steve Platt, David Zhang) who did not make it onto the May leaderboard.

iFLY Seattle has taken the current lead on the 14+ leaderboard, which is the third time for the May sequences that a different ICL team is in the top spot on the May leaderboard. Deb Correia is now hoping the indoor performance will translate well into the first outdoor competition.
