Did You Know...

... that Florida's Indoor Cloud League team improved the June total significantly?

Florida's ICL team last Thursday
posted Jul 1st, 2017 - More Indoor Cloud League results for June are coming in, while a big outdoor weekend is happening at the same time.

The first scores of the Tomscat Trophy 2017 are posted, even though the weather does not cooperate very well so far in the Netherlands, where the two AAA Class teams of the Dutch 20+ project are competing for the first time. The conditions are not much better in Germany for the Nord Cup.

The AAA Class teams in France are using the same competition draw, as well, and three Czech teams compete in the AAA Class in Prostejov.

The Indoor Cloud League teams and competitors from Florida came together at iFLY Tampa for the second time last Thursday and took on the same nine sequences with different lineups. Once again, the Florida team posted scores on both ICL leaderboards.

Rookie Class lineup on June 1st
The new lineups could not improve the AAA and AA scores that were posted on the 1st of June for an unfortunate reason. The recorded videos from the top angle of the flying chamber did not cover the complete working time, and the footage did not allow accurate judging.

At least the 18-pointer for the 12+ sequence (P,11,H,16) would have added another point to the June total. The problem with the recording technology will hopefully soon be resolved by iFLY Tampa.

The two 20-pointers for the two Rookie Class sequences (R - RR) survived the new FSL Tunnel Kicker, as well. Shanise Dietels, Matt O'Gwynn and Bill Bickner posted them on June 1 with player coach Sally Hathaway.

Last Thursday's two Rookie Class lineups (Sally Hathaway, Charlie Craig, Justin Turpin, Gregory Stacey - Shanise Dietels, Kim Lewis, Jerad Gonsalves, Kurt Gaebel) challenged both scores in the same categories and ended up behind the two previous 20-pointers.

Z-Hills Tunnel L/D
The Florida Skydiving League team was still able to improve the total on both leaderboards. Sally Hathaway had a second lineup last Thursday (Paul Bertorelli, Marty Schneider, Keith Hanley) that performed four different sequences.

The same lineup had competed under Z-Hills Tunnel L/D at the April meet of the World Tunnel League in Tampa. The four sequences that Z-Hills Tunnel L/D performed last Thursday could be drawn for any A Class competition, and the team could use three of the four scores for higher Florida scores on the ICL leaderboards.

Z-Hills Tunnel L/D's 25-pointer for the RR Class sequence would also be the highest score for the Florida team. However, the same lineup is only allowed to post scores in two neighboring categories.

New June scores will be added over the weekend, and the July sequences for the Indoor Cloud League leaderboards will be posted later, as well.
