posted Jul 3rd, 2017 - The June meet of the Midwest Skydiving League was planned to be synchronized once again with the teams of the Northern Plains Skydiving League.

Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate well with both events. The NPSL meet was completely weathered out, and the MWSL teams were barely able to complete three rounds on Saturday. Only SDMW NEXT XP managed to perform all six rounds over the weekend on their home turf.

Three SDC Rhythm XP members (Andrew Happick, JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz) were managing the event and helped the teams with judging, coaching and engineering. JaNette Lefkowitz was on the ground while her team mates jumped from the Twin Otter at Skydive Midwest.

Steve Lefkowitz was one of the Dudes in Space, a local team that competed in the A Class, and he also player coached Rookie Class team SDMW Rampage. Andrew Happick was on camera for AA Class team SDC Rhelativity..

NEXT has not yet found a new team videographer for the 2017 season, as Adam Elkin is now filming SDC Rhythm XP. NEXT needed a temporary solution for the team's first outdoor competition after the USPA Nationals 2016.

NEXT had competed at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2017 where they did not need a videographer. Former NEXT member Adam Elkin has a very busy training agenda with SDC Rhythm XP and was filming his own team at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2017 where they finished with a new team record average and joined the 20+ outdoor elite club.

NEXT had started the 2016 outdoor season with a 14.1 average at the July meet of the Midwest Skydiving League, and the national Advanced Class champions are slightly ahead this year, after the 14.7 average in June.

They had met a few other AAA Class teams at the Paraclete meet in February (Ranch 2nd Generation, Spaceland Lite), who they will share the AAA/Open Class leaderboard with at the USPA Nationals 2017, unless R2G decides to win the Advanced Class gold medals first. Spaceland Lite is the former Advanced Class champion of 2011 who has been competing in the AAA/Open Class ever since.
