Did You Know...

... that the Midwest Skydiving League teams were back in action this weekend?

SDMW NEXT XP on home turf in June
posted Jul 9th, 2017 - The Sun Path Products NSL News reported the scores of the Midwest Skydiving League's June meet with the story on 3 July 2017, which focused mainly on the performance of last year's USPA Advanced Class champion, SDMW NEXT XP.

Only three rounds could be completed on Saturday at Skydive Midwest, home turf of NEXT, and no other teams submitted to the weekend's leaderboard. The weather in Minnesota/Wisconsin was even worse, and the teams of the Northern Plains Skydiving League did not even get in the air for any meet jumps.

Two weeks later, the Midwest teams were in action again this weekend. This time, teams in the Carolinas and in Northern California will hopefully generate a more colorful leaderboard with more teams from different locations.

The MWSL teams competed at the Chicagoland Skydiving Center this time, where several A Class teams were waiting for visiting challengers. The scores will be posted as soon as possible.

Three A Class teams from Chicagoland in June
SDMW NEXT XP still completed the six meet rounds on the June 24 weekend later on Sunday on their home turf and added a few more rounds for training purposes.

The second half of the meet included a sequence of three random formations and Block 1 in Round 8, which was probably the fastest sequence of the weekend draw.

Meet and team coaches JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz provided the video of the NEXT performance in Round 8 for the audience, which is showing the USPA Advanced Class champions in great shape.

NEXT would have to travel to compete this weekend at Chicagoland where they have not attended a meet so far since the team was founded in 2015. There is always a first time, and the performance in Round 8 could have inspired the team to follow up with more meet rounds soon...
