posted Jul 29th, 2017 - The Indoor Cloud League team of the Florida Skydiving League came back together at iFLY Tampa last Thursday with the goal to add a score for the RRR Class sequence and improve as many other previously posted ICL July numbers on both leaderboards as possible.

Result of the second FSL Tunnel Kicker of the month was the improvement of the 12+ total from 94 points to 119, and last Thursday's iFLY Tampa team also added 28 points (89 - 117) to the 14+ leaderboard.

Two Rookie Class lineups took on the RRR Class sequence, which had an empty spot on both leaderboards after the first event in July. Shanise Dietels, Matt O'Gwynn, Jerad Gonsalves and Kurt Gaebel filled it with a 10-pointer, which was tied by the second lineup with Noel Damouni, Adam Himel, Bob Byrne and Sebastian Jimenez.

The first lineup also took on the A Class sequence (O,E,7) while the second lineup completed all scores for the three Rookie Class sequences and improved the previously posted numbers in the R and RR categories significantly. Together, the two Rookie Class lineups combined for a total of 25 additional points for the July total.

Shanise Dietels, Matt O'Gwynn and Jerad Gonsalves had attended earlier FSL Tunnel Kickers and Indoor Cloud League events with different lineups and posted Rookie Class scores. They are still eligible for any sequences in the three categories, while they are also eager to learn the first A Class blocks.

Noel Damouni and Adam Himel have been working mostly on their individual skills with coach Bob Byrne, as they did once again earlier last Thursday evening.

However, Bob Byrne had them well prepared for their first 4-way sequences with a second player coach. Result of the well planned entry into the 4-way competition world were the significantly improved Rookie Class scores.

Only the RRR scores did not hold up with the scoring level in the other two Rookie Class categories, and the iFLY Tampa team will probably focus more on the sequences that are the entry level in 4-way outdoor competition.

The Florida rookies are now waiting for the scores of the other participating Indoor Cloud League teams.

The situation was very different for the Florida team in the three technical sequences. The AAA/AA lineups at the earlier ICL event in Tampa this month had performed well and posted very respectable scores, even though they were not even close to the top scores of the Czech Bad Boys on the 14+ leaderboard.

Two different lineups performed all four Open Class sequences (AAA/AA) in a 4-round competition within a 30-minute time frame last Thursday. Player coach Sally Hathaway, with Yvonne Saa, Sebastian Jimenez and James Hall in the lineup, won three of the four sequences, and the second lineup (Yvonne Saa, James Hall, Amer Kassas, Kurt Gaebel) scored higher in one of the two slot switcher sequences, for a 5-point difference (76 - 71) after all four sequences.

However, both lineups were not able to improve the earlier Florida scores in both categories.

Sally Hathaway still guided Emily Bombardi, Sebastian Jimenez and Amer Kassas to the 21-pointer for the A Class sequence, which added three points to the July total on the 14+ leaderboard. The same lineup also performed the 12+ AA Class sequence.
