Did You Know...

... that Dallas 350 member Lucas King had a successful Indoor Cloud League July event?

Three highscores: Seattle Swift member Dmitry Rudchenko
posted Aug 6th, 2017 - The Indoor Cloud League competition continues, while teams from across the world compete at the FAI World Cup 2017 in Germany.

The July competition is over, and the new August sequences have been posted. The ICL teams from iFLY Seattle and iFLY Dallas were the latest ones to add more scores and videos to the 14+ leaderboard, and no major changes happened. The deadline for any July submissions ends this weekend.

In the Northwest, Seattle Swift once again provided the AAA/AA numbers for Deb Correia's iFLY Seattle team. It was impossible for the new Open Class team to keep up with the experienced 4-way competitors from the Czech Republic and Paraclete XP, who completed the Open Class battle with two sequences (AAA/AA) separated by one single point.

Deb Correia said that she had additional three teams that participated in the official monthly ICL event:

"Each team performed in three different categories. There was one situation with a tie, and another where a lower score was turned in for a category because a team had a highscore in the lowest and highest category in which they flew." The ICL rules allow teams to post scores only in neighboring categories.

Four highscores: Seattle Swift member Denis Pershakov
June's first-time participant Erin Hundtofte was back with a new lineup and another ICL rookie, Doug Puchalski. Seattle coaches Dave Correia and Bill Selig guided them to the 16-pointer for the R Class sequence, and they also tied the RRR Class score. However, Gary Dutton, Babs Selig, Lynda Sharpe and coach Denis Pershakov made the 14+ leaderboard for iFLY Seattle in this category, and they also posted the 15-pointer for the RR Class sequence.

Seattle Swift had serious internal competition in the AAA Class. Monica Aikins, Dale Findlay, Jeramy Eggum actually outscored Swift with team member Dmitry Rudchenko in the lineup as the player coach. Deb Correia said that she still rather used this lineup's A Class score for the July total since it was three points higher than any other iFLY Seattle number in this category.

Dmitry Rudchenko eventually ended up with scores in the three technical sequences (AAA - AA - A), two with Seattle Swift and one with the A Class lineup. His Swift team mate Denis Pershakov even topped him with a total of four scores.

Bill Selig, Nat Mote and Isaac Bahr also performed the A and AA sequences with Deb Correia. Nat Mote and Isaac Bahr had to move up into the A Class after scoring 25 points or higher twice in the RRR Class, and they could not match or beat the other A Class scores yet.

No more Rookie Class sequences: Nat Mote, Isaac Bahr
iFLY Dallas finished the July competition with a total of 93 points, which is on the high side for the Indoor Cloud League team in Texas.

Amanda Lampton and her ICL coaches, former Dallas 350 team mates Scott Levy and Lucas King, plus Amy Haass, had a total of eight different lineups at the ICL event in Dallas last month.

Four of the eight teams posted the scoring numbers for the six different ICL sequences, and two teams finished with the highscores in two categories.

Lucas King guided Lacey Breaux, Zach Breaux and Genifer Oliver to the AAA and AA scores, and he also posted two Rookie Class highscores with Zach Breaux, John Farris and Aaron Perkins in the lineup.

Amanda Lampton had upgraded Zach Breaux to a player coach position, and he ended up in three lineups with July highscores for iFLY Dallas. Amanda Lampton also welcomed once again a few new ICL competitors to her iFLY Dallas team last month.
