Did You Know...

... that the iFLY Sacramento rookies scored high again in September?

iFLY Sacramento team at the NCSL Indoor Cloud League event
posted Oct 9th, 2017 - The recent comeback of Florida's Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Orlando will naturally add more excitement to the 12+ leaderboard, as well.

The latest scores and videos from Orlando will not affect the September leaderboard, as they were posted for the October sequences. However, the other ICL teams on the 12+ leaderboard soon have additional opportunities to measure their own performances with others, beginning this month.

Northern California's league director and ICL organizer Lori Connor said that she welcomes Florida back and can't wait to compare her group's scores once again directly with Florida's 12+ teams in Orlando, as it was until the beginning of the year.

She held her NCSL Tunnel Kicker events at iFLY Sacramento earlier last month and had five teams posting the scores in all six Indoor Cloud League categories. Two of the teams took on the sequences in their respective categories at two different events, the first one on September 13 and then again at the NCSL Tunnel Kicker on September 21.

AAA Class slot switchers: DeLoreans
Lori Connor's own team, the DeLoreans, (Lori Connor, Matt Stephens, Jason Russell, Steven Walker) posted the 22-pointer for the AAA Class sequence, after one point deduction. The DeLoreans had attended their first AAA Class competition at the September meet of the World Tunnel League at iFLY Sacramento.

The WTL September 10-round draw included the same ICL sequence in Round 1, and the six rounds at iFLY Sacramento brought two more slot switching sequences to the DeLoreans in their first AAA Class competition. During the practice for the WTL meet, the DeLoreans scored a 19-pointer for Round 1 (E,9,C,5) and then posted only a 16-pointer after a 2-point deduction during the later competition.

Err Speed (John Verley, Lisa Larkin, Ron Ashcraft, Calli Waltrip) also attended both the WTL meet and the NCSL Tunnel Kicker, and their 21-pointer at the WTL meet ended up being Sacramento's ICL September highscore in the A Class. Later at the NCSL Tunnel Kicker, Err Speed and another ICL lineup (Monty Stephens, Nick Armstrong, Russell Hebert, Steven Walker) both ended up with 20-pointers.

The DeLoreans started the ICL AAA Class sequence for September with a 16-pointer at the WTL meet and eventually improved the score to 22 points.

Even though two teams competed at the NCSL Tunnel Kicker in the RRR Class, only one team had video footage available due to a malfunction that interfered with the later half of their rotations.

60 points for iFLY Sacramento: Rookie Class lineup in RR/R
Nick Armstrong, Monty Stephens, Russ Hebert and player coach Steven Walker stepped in and still took good care of the RRR Class sequence with a 20-pointer.

The same lineup had also scored 20 points for the A Class sequence, which was one point short of iFLY Sacramento's September highscore in this category.

Coaches and DeLoreans team mates Matt Stephens and Lori Connor performed the two remaining Rookie Class sequences (RR - R) with Casey Simons and Karel Davis and added a total of 60 points to the September account. It was the second NCSL Tunnel Kicker that newcomer Casey Simons attended with the Sacramento team, after posting a 33-pointer for the July sequence in the R Class.

Casey Simons is now done with this category, while Karel Davis is still eligible for all Rookie Class sequences. The Orlando scores for October are posted on the 12+ leaderboard, and iFLY Sacramento will probably follow up very soon...
