Did You Know...

... that Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team moved from 3rd to 2nd place on the 2017 leaderboard?

Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League October team
posted Nov 6th, 2017 - The Indoor Cloud League October competition is complete after the last submissions of scores and videos from Paraclete XP for the 14+ leaderboard.

Five different teams scored for the biggest and most popular wind tunnel in the U.S.A. and some well known names appeared once again in the lineups. Jen Davidson provided her knowledge and experiences as she had done at earlier events this year and was in the control center for the AAA Class lineup.

She also guided the A Class lineup (Dom Perry, ShawnaRae Miliano, Brandon Kashani) to the highest score that any Paraclete team has posted yet in this category. In fact, the 31-pointer is the highest A Class score that has ever been posted in the history of the Indoor Cloud League, and the HF Junior Cubs were only one point behind in the Czech Hurricane Factory.

The sequence with Block 9 and two random formations was an opportunity for all teams to post high scoring numbers, while it was not the first time that Block 9 and two other random formations were drawn for the A Class sequence. The HF Junior Cubs were familiar with a fast pace for an A Class sequence, as they had also posted a 34-pointer in Round 1 (F,7,L) at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017.

31-pointer record score: Paraclete XP's A Class lineup
Jen Davidson had Lauren Byrd in her lineup for the AAA Class sequence, who is a Phoenix XP member and just won her ticket to the FAI World Meet 2018 in Australia at the USPA Nationals 2017. Phoenix XP was the best all-female team in Perris and will represent the U.S. delegation in 4-way Women.

Her Phoenix team mate Amanda Lampton posted Indoor Cloud League scores for October, too. Her ICL team competes for iFLY Dallas and finished with a total of 99 points for October. Amanda Lampton left the AAA Class sequences for other participants at iFLY Dallas and did not compete against her Phoenix XP team mate in the AAA Class.

However, Amanda Lampton and Lauren Byrd both took care of the RRR Class sequence, Amanda Lampton with Jennifer Betzer, Caleb Rydbeck and Keith Eaton in Dallas and Lauren Byrd with Radim Studeny, Haikun and Dylan Hardee at Paraclete. It turned out to be the only category where the iFLY Dallas team outscored the Paraclete XP team.

It was a very busy event for Lauren Byrd who also player coached the team that performed two of the Rookie Class sequences (RR - R) at Paraclete and collected a total of 54 points.

The Paraclete XP scores for October also included a 23-point contribution from two SDC Rhytm XP members who performed the AA Class sequence at an earlier Rhythm camp at Paraclete in October.

Doug Barron and Andrew Happick had ShawnaRae Miliano and Brandon Kashani in their AA Class lineup that provided the Paraclete highscore in this category. It was the first time for the two Rhythm members to post scores for Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team.

Rhythm franchise manager ShawnaRae Miliano was apparently so inspired after the earlier Rhythm indoor camp that she came back for the ICL October event and posted another highscore with the 31-pointer for the A Class sequence.

The total of 150 points for October was not enough to keep up with the Hurricane Factory team in the Czech Republic. However, the Paraclete team outscored iFLY Seattle by 17 points in October and finally moved from 3rd to 2nd place on the 14+ leaderboard for the ICL 2017 season. It is only a 9-point difference (1170 - 1161) and iFLY Seattle has two more months to turn the table back. iFLY Dallas outscored the Florida 14+ team in Tampa for the first time and gained some ground.
