Did You Know...

... that No Mercy and Sky4four pushed each other to new team record averages this weekend?

No Mercy at the FAI World Cup 2017 in Saarlouis
posted Nov 19th, 2017 - The 4th Flyspot Open Championship in Poland this weekend included the most exciting AAA Class duel between No Mercy and Sky4four in the history of the two teams.

No Mercy had just posted a new 10-round team record average (21.3) at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017, where Flyspot Definition was the only other team from Poland in the Formation Skydiving competition events and won bronze medals for the Polish delegation.

Sky4four had traveled together with No Mercy to Saarlouis this summer though, for the 4-way Open Class competition of the FAI World Cup 2017.

No Mercy competed in 4-way Women and once again won the indirect Polish AAA Class duel.

Sky4four's highest 10-round indoor average was the 19.1 at the World Challenge 2017, where the NSL News had introduced the team to the audience with a live interview from Bedford. It did not look like Sky4four might be able to challenge No Mercy seriously this year after the five outdoor rounds in Saarlouis and the No Mercy record performance in Montreal.

Sky4four then posted a 22.3 average at a Flyspot 6-round meet in September, while No Mercy was in the final preparations for the trip to Canada. Poland's 4-way Open Class team seemed to be ready for a 20+ average in a 10-round meet and would have the next opportunity at the Flyspot Open 2017.

This weekend's AAA Class duel turned out to become a record meet for both teams. No Mercy needed a 22.0 average to fend off Sky4four. The challenger matched No Mercy's previous 21.3 record average and finished closer to Poland's national team in 4-way Women than ever before in the history of the two teams.

HF Skycentrum was one of the three teams who traveled from the Czech Republic to Poland and the third team in the AAA Class competition. 2017 was the first complete AAA Class season for the Czech team, and Skycentrum attended a total of six meets this year, beginning at the World Challenge and including three outdoor meets of the Czech Republic Skydiving League.

The HF Cubs finished in 2nd place of the AA Class competition at Flyspot, and the Elements represented the Czech delegation on the A Class leaderboard.

No Mercy at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017 in Montreal
No Mercy was well prepared for the domestic battle after the exciting 4-way Women competition at the FAI Indoor World Meet in Montreal.

The Polish national team was a part of the fierce 10-round battle for the FAI bronze medals. In fact, No Mercy launched their 10-round bid for the bronze medals with a highscore in the opening round, tied with Team X from Sweden. However, neither of the highscorers in Round 1 were eventually able to keep up when the HF Chicks picked up the pace in Round 7.

No Mercy was four points ahead of the bronze medal winner through Round 4 and before a devastating Round 5 cost the Polish team eight points compared to the HF Chicks, who turned up the Czech engine at the same time.

No Mercy fell out of medal contention, as the team in 3rd place at that time, Team X, was already 11 points ahead after Round 5. No Mercy then kept up evenly with the other previous contenders for the bronze medals while the HF Chicks caught up and then pulled away round by round in the second half of the meet. No Mercy's 22.0 average this weekend would have been only five points short of the bronze medals in Montreal...
