The six 4-way lineups focused mainly on the technical sequences with the four different blocks in the AAA - AA - A sequences. In fact, only one of the teams posted a score for one of the three Rookie Class sequences (RRR - RR - R) and the remainder of the month is open for any other Rookie Class teams to fill the two open scoring opportunities for iFLY Tampa.
The participants were mostly interested in the technical information that the coaches at this event had to offer. Organizer Amer Kassas had invited SDC Rhythm XP member Doug Barron as the head coach, assisted by Sally Craig-Hathaway and Scott Latinis.
SDC Rhythm XP is currently one of the best 4-way teams in the world, and it was no surprise that the participants tried to collect as much information as possible at this special opportunity. Three of the six teams had Doug Barron also in their own lineups for the whole FSL Tunnel Kicker night.

They competed with Emily Bombardi and Amer Kassas for the highscores in the two Open Class sequences (AAA - AA), who had Sally Craig-Hathaway and also Doug Barron in their lineup.
The two teams ended up tied with a total of 34 points for the two sequences, while each posted one of the two highscores for the two categories.
Scott Latinis and Doug Barron had their own internal tie-breaker as a part of the Indoor Cloud League event.
The NSL News had introduced Scott Latinis on November 7th as the only SOS gold medalist in the history of USPA Nationals. He won the 10-way competition with Arizona Airspeed's lineup in Perris.
Doug Barron won his own USPA gold medal in 16-way with GKXP at this year's national championships, after silver with SDC Rhythm in 4-way Open. Scott Latinis was far behind Doug Barron in the 4-way Open Class competition, and the Rhythm member was up 2:1 after after these three of the four Formation Skydiving events in Perris.
Scott Latinis and Doug Barron both also competed in 8-way, where the Amphibious Attack Tigers with Scott Latinis outscored the SDC Rhythm XP8 lineup with Doug Barron.
The NSL Live Talk after Thursday's FSL Tunnel Kicker event addressed the tie after the USPA Nationals. Scott Latinis and Doug Barron agreed that the results of the Indoor Cloud League sequences should be used as a tie-breaker, as they did not know any scores at the end of the flying sessions in Tampa.
It turned out that they were both flying together in their first lineup with Yvonne Saa and Sebastian Jimenez, which was the only one for Scott Latinis.
Doug Barron had the opportunity to break the tie with his second lineup. However, Scott Latinis had the higher score for the AAA Class sequence (17 - 16), while Doug Barron's second team won the AA Class (18 - 17).
Scott Latinis lost the winning and tie-breaking point with a penalty for the AAA Class sequence, and they have to find another opportunity - or just leave it the way it is...
