... that Coupe de France meet videos feature Monaco and the first AAA Class meet of the Aerokart juniors?

AAA Class awards at the Coupe de France Indoor meet
posted Jan 27th, 2018 - The meet videos from the Coupe de France Indoor 2018 in Lyon are now showing the first AAA Class competition of the 4-way Junior world champion team Aerokart Ak'demie 2.

The second video is featuring the Monaco Indoor Skydive Team with former Ak'demie junior Kylian Forsans, who is now 18 years old and not a 4-way junior any longer. The 4-way juniors of the Ak'demie 2 team are between 13 and 15 years young.

It will not take very long until the French youngsters compete again in the same category, and the Monaco team, with Tom Mattoni's father Stéphane in the lineup, has the same meet on the agenda.

Aerokart Ak'demie 2 and the Monaco Indoor Skydive Team have both signed up for the annual Wind Games in Empuriabrava, where all teams use only the AAA Class dive pool and draw. The AAA Class leaderboard at the Wind Games will feature a combination of 4-way Open Class, 4-way Women and 4-way Junior teams. The VossVind Girls from Norway are an all-female lineup with current and former 4-way juniors.

Aerokart Ak'demie 2 team in action
The power rankings of the next and upcoming indoor event are indicating that Aerokart Ak'demie 2 and the Monaco Indoor Skydive Team will not compete for the top spots this time. In fact, the AAA Class field in Empuriabrava promises the first major indoor competition of the year with most of the best 4-way teams in the world participating.

The two teams who competed at the Coupe de France Indoor 2018 in Lyon will have to perform at their best to end up in the top half of the field. In fact, it will be a great honor to make it to the Top 10 next weekend.

It will probably take about a 23+ average to claim one of the Top 10 positions.

The Ak'demie team is realistically performing at a 20+ level, considering the timing issues that kept the meet average in Lyon below the 20-average benchmark. The Lyon videos are showing the potential of the team, and with a great performance it would not be a big surprise to see the Aerokart juniors in the top half and not too far away from the Top 10 level...
