posted Feb 15th, 2018 - The NSL News story on 27 January 2018 had featured the AAA Class battle between former Aerokart Ak'demie 4-way junior Kylian Forsans and his current team, the Monaco Indoor Skydive team, and the reigning 4-way junior world champions in the Aerokart Ak'demie 2 lineup.

The Aerokart Ak'demie juniors won easily with a 14-point advantage at the Coupe de France Indoor 2018 in mid-January. Two weeks later, both teams had a re-match at the Wind Games 2018, where the junior team had to work much harder to fend off the Monaco team.

The Aerokart 4-way junior project team won five of the ten rounds in Lyon and tied three more highscores. Monaco could only win one round over the juniors and match the scores in two more rounds.

The NSL News had pointed out that the duel between the two teams also included the internal family competition between father Stephane (Monaco) and son Tom Mattoni (Ak'demie).

The Monaco team came back to the Wind Games much stronger only a few weeks later.

Both teams exchanged the highscores round by round, including two dramatic meltdowns in Round 4 and Round 5, and Monaco had a 4-point lead after Round 7, with three more rounds to go.

The 4-way juniors showed very strong world champion minds in the final stretch of the meet, when they turned the 4-way deficit into a 2-point advantage at the end of the 10-round meet.

It was only the second AAA Class competition for the Aerokart juniors, and the draw included all six slot switching blocks spread out in six different sequences.

They still increased their previous AAA Class average from 19.2 at the Coupe de France Indoor to 20.0 at the Wind Games.

The Monaco Indoor Skydive Team is already registered for the French Indoor Nationals at Weembi Lille, where both teams competed last year, as well.

They might be separated on two different leaderboards again if the Ak'demie 2 team will be signed up by the project managers and coaches. The 4-way juniors competed in the AA Class last year to qualify for the FAI Indoor World Meet in Montreal where they won the gold medals for France.

This could be beneficial for the AAA Class 4-way seniors from Monaco, unless they will be ready again for a serious challenge.

The Ak'demie juniors have a lot of potential for significantly higher AAA Class scores, as the penalty summary shows. They lost a total of 18 points, compared to the seven point deductions for Monaco...
