Did You Know...

... that Weembi Mix MF will challenge NMP PCH HayaBusa and Arizona Airspeed at the World Challenge 2018?

NFTO at the Wind Games 2018
posted Mar 7th, 2018 - The newest NSL Power Rankings of the World Challenge 2018 are showing newly registered teams in their expected positions on the six different leaderboards.

The 4-way competition includes once again all four NSL categories (AAA - AA - A - Rookie), and the 4-way Women teams are supposed to have their own leaderboard.

However, only NFTO has signed up so far, and the British national 4-way team may end up on the AAA Class leaderboard if not enough teams register for the separate category. The 8-way competition will have the 6th leaderboard.

NFTO on the AAA Open Class leaderboard would be facing a new tough family battle between Anna (NFTO) and Gareth Hicks (ACM Weembi) within the Top 10.

ACM has registered the same lineup (Marc Fletcher, Hari Ganapathy, Gareth Hicks, David Rodgers) that competed at the Bodyflight Revenge and posted a 23.3 average, including former Team 4mula member David Rodgers. NFTO has a 23.7 average in the records, posted at the Wind Games 2018.

No comeback: Weembi High Rollers at the World Challenge 2017
The team in 3rd place, Weembi Mix MF, has no scoring history with this lineup. However, the 3rd place position is still well justified after a closer look at the lineup.

Two members, Julien Degen and Roy Janssen, tried to break NMP PCH HayaBusa's indoor winning streak for over a year with the Weembi High Rollers and got as close as one single point at the same event last year. The High Rollers have not continued, and HayaBusa and Arizona Airspeed are both still facing a potential challenger.

The French Weembi Girls don't have the complete lineup available for this year's World Challenge, and two members are completing the Weembi Mix MF lineup.

Christine Malnis and Sophia Pecout are French 4-way Women world champions of 2014 and finished in 2nd place at the FAI Mondial 2016. They are the two most experienced 4-way competitors of the French Weembi Girls and fit very well into the lineup with Julien Degen and Roy Janssen.

Weembi lineup at the World Challenge 2015
The two male team members of the Weembi Mix worked the center slots for the High Rollers (Julien Degen - Outside Center, Roy Janssen - Inside Center), while Christine Malnis and Sophia Pecout have been training and competing in their point (Christine Malnis) and tail (Sophia Pecout) slots since they were selected for the French national team in 4-way Women.

The French Weembi Girls with their complete lineup have a 30+ average in their records, and the Weembi Mix MF scoring level will have to be expected somewhere between the High Rollers and the French Girls. It may not be enough to challenge HayaBusa seriously, but Arizona Airspeed may have to watch out for the Weembi lineup.

Christine Malnis, Sophia Pecout and Julien Degen already competed for a Weembi lineup together in Bedford at the World Challenge 2015. Thomas Perrin completed the lineup by then.

British team Pajama Pumas seem to enjoy indoor competition after two years of only outdoor meets. They are back for their second indoor competition after the Wind Games 2018 and will try to beat their 14.7 average that they posted in Empuriabrava.
