Did You Know...

... that the 4-way juniors have their own ways to get ready and be prepared for competition?

On route to record average: Aerodyne Weembi Girls with Gary Smith
posted Mar 24th, 2018 - The first day of 4-way competition was completed at the French Indoor Nationals 2018, and all teams completed six rounds.

The three teams that competed at the Shamrock Showdown 2018 (Aerodyne Realfly, Aerodyne Weembi Girls, Qatar Tigers) are in a very different order just a week later, which is showing once again very clearly how different indoor and outdoor performance is.

Aerodyne Weembi Girls have a 5-point lead over the Qatar Tigers who keep up with the French national team in 4-way Open this time and are in 2nd place with a 1-point advantage. There are four more rounds to go, and the French 4-way Women team may set a new indoor world record average at the first 2018 meet with the complete lineup. They have to improve their own 30.3 average that they posted at the World Challenge last year.

Aerokart Ak'demie 2 will post a new AAA Class team record, as well, and will probably increase the distance to their former team mate's new Monaco Skydream Team. Aerokart Ak'demie 3 will defend the French AA Class title successfully for the juniors of the other two Aerokart teams who placed 1st and 2nd last year at the same event.

The NSL TV camera captured members of the Ak'demie teams between the 4-way rounds, where they entertained themselves in many different ways, which had little to do with 4-way competition. It seems to be a successful way to get well prepared...

More traditional preparations: Aerokart Ak'demie juniors
Gary Smith provided commentary for the audience when the 4-way teams were in the flying chamber for Round 5. He is not directly involved in this event, as NMP PCH HayaBusa or any other of his teams are in Lille.

He just provides hints and advice for anybody who may have a question. The NSL News took advantage of the situation before he would get busy again with the Qatar Falcons in 8-way.

The Falcons are at Weembi Lille for the first time, and they seem to like it.

They cannot keep up with the French 8-way world champions of earlier years; however, the meet average is well above their own standing indoor team record, and they are holding off the Weembi Girls on their home turf so far.

Veloce QRF is scoring higher than at Paraclete with the lineup at Weembi, which is still not enough to keep up with the three top teams. The Fan8ics are the only 8-way team without a penalty. The 4-way competition will be completed on Sunday morning, and the 8-way teams will have the last word with the remaining two rounds.
