Did You Know...

... that Germany and Russia battle for the silver medal position in 8-way?

Manus Sarrazin oversees the French 8-way preparations
posted Sep 1st, 2009 - The first 8-way scores are now on the leaderboard, as well. The French 8-way team, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, right away created the distance to the rest of the field in Round 1 that was expected. The NSL News met the team out in the landing area after landing from Round 1.

New team captain Clement Martin St. Leon, who also competes with three 8-way team mates for Aerokart Pamiers Maubeuge in 4-way, explained that his team is preparing for the World Meet in 2010. The World Cup 2009 is the first competition for the new lineup.

Russian 8-way team after Round 1
The German team EADS had a serious problem with the exit and found itself in 3rd place after Round 1. FSC Eisenach-Paratec member Jörn Thiele is back from work now, and the German 8-way team goes into Round 2 with the original lineup that finished in 4th place at the World Meet 2008.

Alternate Peter "PG" Grossmann can now focus on his home team Incognito Leutkirch that he is guiding together with Gary Smith.

The Russian 8-way team, a combination of 4-way teams Contour and Gradient Alpha, won the first round by one point over EADS and is now eager to defend the 2nd place. Round 2 has just begun, and the scores will be posted soon. Stay tuned.
