Did You Know...

... that AA leader Team Red outscored three AAA teams in Round 5?

AtomiX YUU at the ESL Championship 2018
posted Sep 22nd, 2018 - Back to the ESL Championship 2018 where the four Belgian teams that the NSL News mentioned yesterday keep their ESL delegation in contention for the ESL Spirit.

Aeropotam's have the lead on the A Class leaderboard and will collect 10 ESL points for the Belgian delegation. Jetmax battles with Dark Energy for the 2nd place in AAA and eight more ESL points. Ayro and Stardust together could add 14 AA Class points to the Belgian account, which would bring the total to 32 points. That's a very promising number and would win the ESL Spirit after Round 7.

The NSL News mentioned on 14 September 2018 that this year's ESL Championship could produce four category winners from four different countries. The rankings after Round 7 indicate that this forecast will probably hold true, as the category leaders have secured solid leads on the respective leaderboards.

Germany's AtomiX YUU posted a new team highscore for the Super Sequence in Round 6, and the meet average will be a new team record, as well. Team Red of the Dutch Project 20+ is 13 points ahead of the team in 2nd place. Aeropotam's are winning for Belgium in the A Class, and Czech team High Five has no serious opposition in the Rookie Class.

The new NSL-TV clip features the AA Class leader, Team Red. The Dutch Project 20+ was covered by the NSL News on a regular basis, and Team Red is a very successful product of the project.

Team Red at the ESL Championship 2018
The ESL Championship is the third outdoor competition for Team Red this year, after the Tomscat Trophy and the Dutch Nationals.

Team Red has been lifting the performance level meet by meet, and the finishing average in Saarlouis will be significantly higher than before, supported by two fast sequences with only random formations.

Team Red is not competing with the complete lineup.

Out of the Blue member Rick Verbunt is helping out in Saarlouis before he will soon travel to Australia and compete for the Netherlands at the FAI World Meet 2018.

Team Red will decide by the end of the 2018 season whether to move up into the AAA Class world next year or not. The lineup in Saarlouis outscored three of the five AAA Class teams with the same sequence (13-D-21) in Round 5...
