Did You Know...

... that Paraclete XP (1183) and Hurricane Factory (1177) are separated by six points?

Kirk Verner with Paraclete XP's AAA/AA lineup
posted Nov 5th, 2018 - The Indoor Cloud League competition on the 14+ leaderboard is turning once again into a tight battle between Paraclete XP and Hurricane Factory.

The Czech team won the October competition and has reduced the difference to six points (1177 - 1183) after ten months. HF Flying Circus claimed both Open Class highscores for the AAA and AA sequences, and two of the three junior teams (HF Rebels, HF Dragonflies) won the RR and R categories. The Paraclete team posted the highscore for the RRR sequence and tied the Czech score in the A Class.

The situation was the opposite last year at the same point in time. The Czech ICL team was in the lead in October, even though Paraclete XP had begun to catch up in the second half of the year and won the November and December competitions. However, it was not enough to take the 1st place in Paraclete's first year in the Indoor Cloud League.

This year, Paraclete XP has the lead at the end of October, and the Hurricane Factory is beginning to catch up after winning in September in October. The 6-point difference is much closer than in October 2017, and the scores in the last two months can create any outcome and final ranking for the ICL 2018 season.

Kirk Verner with Paraclete XP's A/RRR lineup
Former Airspeed world champion Kirk Verner guided the Paraclete XP October team in all six categories as the player coach, assisted by Phoenix XP member Morgan Womble, who could not compete for her team at the FAI World Meet 2018 in Australia due to an earlier injury.

No other member of the U.S. delegation for the world meet was in the Paraclete XP lineups in October, as the preparations for the most relevant event in the sport and the actual trip were much more important. However, Golden Knights member Andrew Starr mentioned in Australia that he fully supports the Indoor Cloud League and will be back with other team mates very soon.

Kirk Verner has been very active in all areas of 4-way and 8-way competition this year. He won the USPA gold medals in the 4-way Advanced Class with Savage XP, and his XP8 lineup added the 8-way gold medals to the Paraclete collection at the USPA Nationals 2018. He has big 8-way plans for the 2019 season that the NSL News will follow up on soon.

He is also intensively engaged with Paraclete XP's indoor and outdoor training and coaching activities, which includes the Indoor Cloud League events as a recruiting project for new participants.
