posted Dec 29th, 2018 - Original Mass Defiance member Ben Liston is in the final stages of the preparations for this year's indoor competition at SkyVenture New Hampshire in January. The NSL News had posted the first update with meet information on November 21st.

He has now also provided a list of the 36 teams that are registered at this point in time, with more than four weeks to go for more teams to grab the remaining open slots.

The AAA Class competition is going to feature a very interesting re-match between Defiance and Ranch 2nd Generation on the top of the leaderboard. The Defiance lineup at the USPA Nationals 2018 (Nick Grillet, James Klinge, Ben Liston, Brian Stephens) fended off the R2G challenge quite easily in Perris.

In fact, Defiance was more involved in the battle for USPA's 4-way Open Class bronze medals, which Airspeed Odyssey eventually won by three points after the 10-round thriller. Odyssey member Eliana Rodriguez will be present at Ben Liston's indoor competition to provide free coaching for all participating teams, as the earlier story mentioned. Eliana Rodriguez is also bringing back the Arizona Skydiving League, as another recent NSL News update explained. Her AZSL partner Michelle Karamon will be at SkyVenture New Hampshire, as well, and compete with Ranch 2nd Generation.

Things have changed for Defiance and R2G both since the USPA Nationals, and the new indoor battle will probably be much closer. Ranch 2nd Generation is the defending champion at SkyVenture New Hampshire, and Ben Liston is trying to recruit a strong lineup for his own team.

Former Mass Defiance videographer Steve Feldman was in last year's lineup and competes again with Ride it Like It's Stolen at the 2019 event, together with Ben Liston. Original Mass Defiance member John Silva is back in the lineup, together with his two original team mates Brian Stephens and Ben Liston. Nick Grillet or Doug Hendrix will complete the lineup.

It will still be very difficult for any Defiance lineup to defeat the reigning R2G champions. The NSL News posted on November 3rd that Jeana Billings has joined Ranch 2nd Generation and replaced Chris Haslam in the tail slot. The new lineup will be well prepared for the title defense and the Defiance challenge.

Last year's silver medalists, Spaceland Lite, are coming back with a strong lineup, as well. In fact, the lineup with Alex Jordaan for Kim Hollander competed at Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2017, and they will be posting new scores under the team name SaLiteO.
