posted Jan 24th, 2019 - The ten January rounds of the World Tunnel League at the Hurricane Factory were like a warmup opportunity for the Czech teams before they would meet again just a few days later at the same place for the Czech Open Indoor Nationals 2019.

Five of the seven Czech AAA Class teams and the Skydive University team from Slovakia came back and placed exactly in the same order. They were joined by guest team KA from Hungary who finished right in the middle of the AAA Class field. Three teams from Poland and one Belgian team also joined the Czech teams on the two other leaderboards (AA - A).

HF Flying Circus took the 1st place on both AAA leaderboards and confirmed the 24+ average level at the Czech Open Indoor Nationals that they had reached for the first time at the World Tunnel League event earlier the same week.

The NSL News recently covered the interesting battle and cooperation both of different 4-way generations in the Czech Republic and in Finland, which included the ongoing competition between father Jan (HF Bad Boys) and son Jakub Klapka (HF Flying Circus) in the Czech Republic.

HF Flying Circus and HF Bad Boys at the World Tunnel League January competition

The new videos of both teams at the Czech Open Indoor Nationals feature the next battle between the two teams with ten different rounds. HF Bad Boys were able to reduce the 19-point difference in the middle of the same week to 11 points on the weekend. It was one of the highest meet averages for HF Bad Boys and still not enough to challenge the new Czech top team seriously.

However, the Bad Boys only tied three of the highscores of the new Czech 4-way indoor champions at the WTL meet. Then they followed up by outscoring HF Flying Circus in two of the ten rounds at the indoor championship.

HF Bad Boys, the Czech indoor champions of 2018, were able to reduce the distance and were still not able to defend their title successfully with little time to get ready for the competition. The Bad Boys have not trained or competed regularly in the past years, while HF Flying Circus have consistently raised the scoring and performance level.

Flying Circus seem to have established themselves on the 24+ level after two 10-round meets, while the 24.4 average of the Bad Boys at last year's indoor nationals is the only time when they matched the new Czech top level. The 24.6 average by HF Flying Circus is the highest result of a Czech team in history, and they have now united the national indoor and outdoor titles.
