Did You Know...

... that all 4-way events at Paraclete XP feature exciting battles?

Pressure on Airspeed: SDC Rhythm XP at Paraclete XP
posted Feb 23rd, 2019 - The Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2019 is in full swing, and all events offer exciting competition and interesting situations.

SDC Rhythm XP has once again picked up the pace, and the 30-average level will most likely be history as a goal and stepping stone. The distance to Arizona Airspeed is down to nothing after the 16-point deficit at the end of the Wind Games 2019.

In fact, Rhythm had the lead throughout the first three rounds before Airspeed created the first 1-point advantage in Round 4. Airspeed's team captain Niklas Hemlin was impressed with the Rhythm performance, and his team was on high alert after the first four rounds.

There is a good reason to take the situation seriously enough. The Paraclete XP Championship 2019 is the official qualification event for the FAI Indoor World Meet 2019 at Weembi Lille in April. SDC Rhythm XP has obviously not given up on the slot in the U.S. delegation after the more significant difference at the Wind Games. They took the 1-point lead back in Round 5, and Airspeed is one single point ahead at the end of the first day. The last three rounds are scheduled for Sunday morning, and they will probably feature the tightest battle between the two teams in their common history.

The pressure in on Airspeed who may not have expected such a strong challenge. There is no doubt that both teams will use the remainder of Saturday to do whatever it takes to be ready for the final showdown on Sunday morning.

Leader in 4-way Women: XPG4
Arizona Airspeed has more time to re-charge and prepare for the last three rounds. Andrew Happick, JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz are also training and competing with Paraclete's 8-way team XP8. The 8-way competition followed the seven 4-way rounds on Saturday afternoon, and XP8 is far ahead of all other U.S. teams, including the new Golden Knights lineup. Even the Qatar Falcons are hardly close enough to call it a competition for the 1st place and the top of the leaderboard.

It will be interesting to see how SDC Rhythm XP will deal with the double duties and the next three 4-way rounds on Sunday morning.

The situation is also very interesting in 4-way Women, where the best U.S. teams are competing for a slot in the U.S. delegation in France, as well. Perris Force had the faster start and has defended the lead throughout the first seven rounds over Phoenix XP.

However, the strongest 4-way Women lineup is far ahead of both teams. XPG4 has R2G members Michelle Karamon and Jena Billings in the lineup, together with former Phoenix XP member Morgan Womble and Lite XP member Katrina Autry Shows. Last and not least, the AA Class leaderboard features a horse race that Platinum XP is leading at the moment...
