posted Feb 28th, 2019 - The Paraclete XP Indoor Championship was the U.S. qualification event for the FAI Indoor World Meet 2019 and included a 4-way Women competition for the same purpose.

The NSL News had mentioned the situation in 4-way Women with the update on February 23rd. The two U.S. teams who are aiming at the top spot in 4-way Women at the FAI World Meet 2020 in Tanya, Russia, Phoenix XP and Perris Force, could not keep up with the newly formed XPG4 lineup on the first day of the competition.

This did not change in the last three rounds, where XPG4 extended the lead in 4-way Women significantly and finished in 5th place on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard.

XPG4 will compete for the U.S. delegation at the FAI Indoor World Meet in April, while Phoenix XP and Perris Force still have the opportunity to win the 4-way Women outdoor qualification at the USPA Nationals 2019 later this year.

XPG4 have no plans to continue after the indoor world meet, and the team members will go back to their own teams (Ranch 2nd Generation, Lite XP) for the outdoor season this year.

In fact, R2G members Michelle Karamon and Jeana Billings will probably focus just as much on their 8-way training and competition with Paraclete XP8.

They will first compete with XP8 at the indoor world meet in April and perform double duties in 4-way Women and 8-way Open, and then try to win the 8-way competition at the USPA Nationals.

Michelle Karamon and Jeana Billings will probably not be overly stressed with the international double duties at Weembi Lille. The NSL News mentioned that they both completed 22 competition rounds last Saturday at Paraclete XP (R2G - XPG4 - XP8) and added the remaining eight rounds with their three teams on Sunday morning.

Their XPG4 team mates Katrina Shows and Morgan Womble copied the triple duties at Paraclete XP, Katrina Shows with XPG4, Lite XP and Spaceland Lite 8, Morgan Womble with XPG4, Lucky Joshua and LJ's Angels. Both will compete only in 4-way Women at the indoor world meet, while Michelle Karamon and Jeana Billings are in the U.S. 8-way lineup, as well.

Morgan Womble (right) with Phoenix XP at the FAI World Meet 2018 in Australia
Morgan Womble will be compensated for her bad luck last year, when an injury kept her from experiencing her first world meet participation in Australia. She was a Phoenix XP member in 2018, and Megan George substituted for her after the injury.

Phoenix XP launched the 2019 season with a new lineup, as the NSL News reported earlier, and Morgan Womble did not continue. Then she had her very successful comeback with XPG4 and now a new opportunity for her first international competition experience at an FAI event.

In fact, she may come back from France with an FAI world meet medal, which was denied Phoenix XP in Australia by Team X from Sweden. XPG4 has the potential to shake up the 4-way Women leaderboard at the FAI Indoor World Meet. Even FAI World Cup silver medalist NFTO may not be safe in 2nd place if XPG4 uses the almost two months wisely and intensively. XPG4 can probably turn the 23.7 average at Paraclete XP into a 25+ average with more training.

Even the new French indoor lineup in 4-way Women could be within striking distance for XPG4, and then the U.S. team would compete for the FAI gold medals. Nephtys Weembi had finished with a 26.3 average at the Wind Games. However, XPG4 have to share time and training until the indoor world meet with XP8, who will be aiming at 8-way medals in April. Double duties at the world meet will be even more challenging than triple duties at last weekend's indoor competition...
