All events will be active this afternoon, as the 8-way teams and the artistic competitors have not completed yet what was planned for them. Five 8-way rounds are in the bag, and Round 6 will begin shortly. The French 4-way and 8-way competitors will have a very busy afternoon, and Bryan Burke has to coordinate their agenda.
The French 8-way team lost four points in Round 4 when videographer Sylvain Girault exited too early. The German team tied the French score of 12 points. France Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge rebounded without problems and posted the meet's highest score of 22 points in the next round.
France is without serious competition at the World Cup. The new lineup is not yet on the same level as the world champions of 2006 and 2008. However, the videos show that it will not take very long until the new lineup will look just like the incredible French 8-way machine of the past years.
The next video clip features the French 8-way team's Round 1 and Germany's EADS 8-way lineup in Round 3. The German team had no problem cleaning up after the bad exit in Round 1 and is now heading straight towards the first set of silver medals at an international competition.
In fact, the British Freeflying team had taken possession of the flag after yesterday's secret meeting in the UK tent.
Then they raised the flag this morning, and it surely is a very visible spot, as Sarah Smith officially presented it to the public.
The large screen that plays CamScore's DZ-TV all day long showed a new decoration when the UK competitors were done with their climbing and fixing work. Once again, the Fun Flag flying over the drop zone now reminds teams and competitors that there is a higher purpose than only the scores...
