Did You Know...

... that World Challenge training is in full swing at Twinwoods Adventure?

NMP PCH HayaBusa training on Wednesday
posted Apr 3rd, 2019 - The temporary transition of the NSL News to Twinwoods Adventure in Bedford has been completed, and the preparations for the World Challenge 2019 are in full swing.

The field of AAA Class teams has now grown to the same number as last year, and some of the top contenders used Wednesday for intensive training. In fact, five of the six teams in the top spots of the NSL Power Rankings were busy with indoor training on Wednesday.

Arizona Airspeed had the earliest training sessions of the top teams and was done when the NSL News arrived. However, team captain Niklas Hemlin staid for some additional flying time and had changed jumpsuits. The Blues Skies Mag TURNING POINTS column in the January edition had included Niklas Hemlin's excursion to freeflying, and he is still playing with it on a regular basis. The NSL Live TV video clip includes his extra time in the flying chamber.

By adding the extra time, Niklas Hemlin also had the opportunity to watch NMP PCH HayaBusa and their training session on Wednesday, while he was getting ready for his freeflying. He and Oman Wolf coach Ivan Quadrio were both observing NMP PCH HayaBusa, and the new Amnesya member explained why Italy does not have a team at the upcoming FAI Indoor World Meet 2019.

There was also a change in the field of teams for the indoor world meet. IFS-Moscow was training on Wednesday, as well, with new member Alena Chistova in the lineup. Egor Gusev informed the NSL News that his team lost the duel with Black Cat at the Russian Indoor Nationals by six points and will not compete for Russia at Weembi Lille.

Black Cat is the Russian national indoor 4-way team at the indoor world meet with a new lineup of all the roster members. Alexander Golovkin and Alexander Kvochur have joined forces with Valentin Ilin and Vladimir Pavlenko this year.

The Russian delegation had separated the 4-way and 8-way teams for the FAI World Meet 2018 in Australia, where Tanay Wolves competed with a separate lineup in 4-way. Vasily Korotkov and Vladimir Pavlenko were both Tanay 8-way members last year and are now up for double duties at the indoor world meet. Alexander Golovkin and Alexander Kvochur compete only in 4-way with Black Cat.

SDC Rhythm XP and Weembi Unicorns had scheduled their indoor training for a later time on Wednesday, and the NSL-TV camera recorded some of their training sessions, as well. Their latest training videos will follow later.
