Did You Know...

... that Amnesya and ex3MO are both back in action with new lineups?

FAI indoor bronze medals in Baharain 2018: Amnesya
posted May 31st, 2019 - The indoor season is still not completely over yet. Italian 4-way teams meet this weekend to determine their new indoor champions, and they may also qualify for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2020.

Amnesya are the defending Italian indoor and outdoor champions, and they had competed for their country at the FAI Outdoor World Meet in Australia last year. Then they even won the bronze medals at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2018 in Bahrain. However, Italy did not have a team at the FAI Indoor World Meet in April at Weembi Lille.

Team member Giuseppe Cossu explained that his team had to replace two members, as Mario Fatturoso and Michele Silvi would not be back for the 2019 season. The eligibility rules of the Italian skydiving federation do not allow teams two changes in the lineup after the qualification event, and Amnesya could not compete at the FAI indoor world meet in March.

The NSL News mentioned on April 2nd that former ex3MO member Ivan Quadrio would join Amnesya for the 2019 season. Amnesya still needed a second new member, and Livio Piccolo, Sinapsi PD bronze medalist of 2006, eventually joined Giuseppe Cossu and Chiara Brunetti to complete the lineup.

New Amnesya lineup in training with Niklas Hemlin
The new lineup will compete this weekend at the indoor championships, and Livio Piccolo's team mate of 2006, Luca Marchioro, is the Amnesya alternate.

The same indoor and outdoor opponent of the past years, ex3MO, will try once again to take back the 4-way top spot in Italy, beginning with the indoor title. However, ex3MO is dealing with personnel changes, as well. Team founder Placido Udine is not available due to a recent eye surgery. He is only sitting on the bench, and Marco Arrigo is not in the lineup, as well.

Only Federico Angelotti and Stefano Rossi are back from the 2018 season, together with long-time ex3MO member Fabio Lorenzetti. They have Alessandro Anderlucci in the lineup for the weekend, who is a former Sei Uno Zero (6.1.0.) member.

Last year's ex3MO lineup won the indoor silver medals with a 27.7 team record average, which was still far behind Amnesya (29.9) and the team's strong 2018 lineup. This weekend's scores from Italy will show which of the two Italian 4-way arch-rivals will deal better with the challenging personnel changes...
