Did You Know...

... that Aviatrixx confirmed a strong position in 4-way Women last weekend?

posted Jul 22nd, 2019 - The Swedish Nationals are in full swing, and Echochamber finished the first four rounds below the 20-average level, due to a heavy load of nine blocks. The second half of the meet may offer better opportunities for higher scores.

There is an upset in the makings in Sweden. Aurora did not win any medals last year, while Team C4 finished in 3rd place. Both teams are now battling for the silver medals in the absence of Team X, last year's national team in 4-way Women, and Edge, this year's indoor bronze medalists. Aurora is up by five points after Round 4.

The Brazilian Nationals are happening at the same time, and the Brazilian teams are two rounds ahead of the Swedish teams with a different competition draw. National 4-way team CTR Optimum has a serious challenger this year and is working hard to fend off the outdoor experts of Go Fly.

Last weekend's combined leaderboard of several events in the United States has Texas Skydiving League team Aviatrixx once again in the top spot. The NSL News had introduced the team in the middle of the San Marcos Showdown last month.

Aviatrixx had company on the AAA Class leaderboard this time. Scott Latinis was bringing Erika Barczak, Amber Taylor and Michael Anderson into the AAA Class competition, with John Cheesmond on camera.

The all-female lineup included Skydive Spaceland's Marketing & Communications Director Christy West, while Organizing & Events Director Scott Latinis competed in the opposing team. Aviatrixx won and confirmed the team's position as a strong contender in 4-way Women for the USPA Nationals 2019.

No other 4-way Women top contenders have posted outdoor scores so far. Perris Force, with former Perris Fury member Christy Frikken in the lineup, and Phoenix XP had both competed at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship (191 - 180) and are planning to win the tickets to the FAI World Meet 2020 at the USPA Nationals in September.

Aviatrixx did not compete as a team at Paraclete. Christy West was in the Great Expectations lineup and placed ahead of Perris Force and Phoenix XP both (201). She also competed together with her Aviatrixx team mate Jill Stephenson for Lucky Joshua.
