Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV features the ten 4-way Open Class teams in Round 2 at Paraclete XP?

Judging panel at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2020
posted Mar 1st, 2020 - The Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2020 was completed successfully on Sunday morning, with ten rounds in 4-way and ten rounds in 8-way.

The NSL News will follow up soon with the competition videos that Chief Judge Jim Rees evaluated with his panel. Former Golden Knights 4-way Women member Angela Nichols and 4-way competitor Gorka Amian were new in the panel at this year's event and spent the whole day in the judging room.

The first NSL Reality TV clip featured the ten 4-way Open Class teams with their second competition round. The AAA Class leaderboard includes all teams that competed in the 4-way Open Class and the 4-way Advanced Class. It was the first time that the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship applied the second AAA Class category, as the United States Parachute Association (USPA) has been doing it for many years.

The Paraclete XP Indoor Championship has become the official qualification event for international FAI events, and the sanctioning organization, United States Indoor Skydiving (USIS), has adopted the two AAA competition classes, even though USPA is not involved with indoor competition.

The registration requirements for either of the USIS categories are unknown at this point. However, ten teams signed up for the 4-way Open Class, another five teams for the Advanced Class competition.

Arizona Airspeed confirmed the U.S. indoor top spot with the 1st place at Paraclete XP, after the convincing first performance of the year at the Wind Games at the end of January, even though the winning average at Paraclete XP was significantly below the 33.3 average in Spain.

SDC Rhythm XP was back with JaNette Lefkowitz in her inside center slot. Drew Starr, who trains with Rhythm for the outdoor event at the FAI World Meet 2020, competed with his Golden Knights Gold lineup and finished in 3rd place. Jennifer Davidson, Jesse Stahler and Nik Grimm completed the new Gold lineup. It was the first meet for Nik Grimm in the strong Gold lineup. Drew Starr, Jennifer Davidson and Jesse Stahler know each other well from earlier 4-way events.

The other half of the Golden Knights 8-way team competed in the Black lineup. Drew Starr said that both 4-way teams had some 4-way training opportunities at iFLY Tampa during weather situations when the 8-way team was recently training at Skydive City.
