Did You Know...

... that even more Indoor Cloud League scores and videos for March came from iFLY Dallas?

U.S. indoor champion in 4-way Intermediate: Kyle Hermberg (right) with Barhons
posted Apr 4th, 2020 - More Indoor Cloud League scores and videos for the month of March have made it to last month's leaderboard, which turns out to be bigger than it could be expected considering the corona virus circumstances.

There were several ICL events that took place before the wind tunnels were shut down, just as skydiving centers have also stopped their operations in most countries of the world, at some time in March.

iFLY Dallas' ICL organizer Kyle Hermberg was back from his successful trip to Paraclete XP, where his team Barhons had won the AA/Intermediate Class competition, as the NSL News reported on March 2nd. He could then also enjoy the record participation at his ICL event in March, before the ICL competitors now have to accept a break until the wind tunnels will be re-opened.

This situation is almost just as ironic as the weather situation has been in Florida, where the Shamrock Showdown had to be canceled, as well. The weather has been perfect for skydiving for more than four weeks, while the drop zone operations have ceased everywhere. The March scores and videos of the Indoor Cloud League events will also be the last ones for a while.

Scott Latinis' Woodland Tunnel Fun 4-way meet
Kyle Hermberg was actually the only ICL competitor at iFLY Dallas who had attended the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2020, as well. The 4-way competitors in Texas had their own indoor event just a few weeks after the Paraclete XP meet.

Scott Latinis had organized a very special indoor competition, the Woodland Tunnel Fun (WTF) at iFLY Houston. Nine teams attended the event, five from Houston and four drom Dallas. The format required each team member to perform the same sequence in each 4-way slot in the first four rounds. The sequences of the next four rounds included blocks and random formations of earlier dive pools, some of them from long ago.

Kyle Hermberg attended this event, as well, and he said that it was a great evening. Several ICL participants of the iFLY Dallas team used the March sequences for training purposes before visiting iFLY Houston for Scott Latinis' event. Scott Latinis was also player-coaching for some of the ICL lineups at iFLY Dallas. Unfortunately, Kyle Hermberg then had to cancel his 2-way belly scrambles on the following weekend, as the impact of the corona virus crisis became too heavy in Texas too.
