Did You Know...

... that former and current Czech 4-way juniors posted all Indoor Cloud League September scores?

HF Flying Rebels
posted Sep 30th, 2020 - Several European countries are now facing the second wave of the corona virus pandemic, and the situation has once again an impact on the Formation Skydiving world, as well.

Jan Klapka reported from the Czech Republic that two members of the HF Cubs have temporarily withdrawn, as it had happened earlier this year.

He said that the Czech parliament will decide today how to deal with the health crisis this time. He is afraid that skydiving centers and the Hurricane Factory will be shut down, as they were earlier this year.

Nevertheless he was able to complete his Indoor Cloud League leaderboard for the month of September. The participation was still impressive, even though the second of the two top teams, HF Flying Circus, did not perform any of the two 4-way Open Class sequences.

The complete HF Cubs lineup took care of the two sequences before they decided to take a new break. However, Jan Klapka had a new team taking on the AAA/AA sequences, together with HF Cubs and his M Team this time.

HF Flying Rebels, the official Czech national team in 4-way Junior, performed both 4-way Open Class sequences for the first time.

The 4-way Junior teams have a limited dive pool and shorter sequences at FAI/ISC indoor world meets and world cups, which is identical with the AA Class of the National Skydiving League and with most intermediate class dive pools in other countries.

The 4-way Junior dive pool includes all 16 random formations and 16 of the 22 blocks without slot-switchers. The sequences are shorter with four or five scoring formations.

The HF Flying Rebels had an internal AAA/AA battle with HF Cubs and M Team and finished only two points behind the still reigning 4-way Junior world champions in the AA Class. They lost the AAA Class to the M Team while finishing ten points ahead for the other two sequences (AA/A) which could both be drawn in a 4-way Junior competition.

Jan Klapka said that the HF Flying Rebels have now expressed their thoughts of possibly following the example of the HF Cubs and jump from planes in the near future, too.

The HF Cubs have all completed their AFF training and will probably soon make their first team jump. They have already shared the freefall skies with Jan Klapka and HF Flying Circus member Martina Vavackova who is assisting Jan Klapka with their freefall training at the skydiving center in Most.

Jan Klapka was still happy with the progression of skydiving at his home DZ in Most. He said that his school completed the training of over 30 students this summer, who will hopefully continue with the sport and join his indoor and outdoor Formation Skydiving activities in the Czech Republic.

Five different teams actually took on the two 4-way Junior sequences (AA/A) at the Hurricane Factory in September, and the second strongest junior team, HF Dragonflies, outscored the M Team seniors, as well. The HF Chameleons ended up only one point behind M Team, who have Jan Klapka in their lineup.

There were only three senior teams on the September leaderboard, including the HF Cubs. The other five teams are all 4-way juniors, with Rusalky taking on all five sequences between the AA and R categories. Rusalky posted the highest scores for two of the three Rookie Class sequences (R - RR) and tied the highscore for the RRR Class (15) with the HF Invisible juniors.

Jan Klapka could use the Invisible score for the September leaderboard, while Rusalky added a total of 40 points to the Czech ICL account. It was the highest Rusalky contribution since the team has been competing for Jan Klapka's team at the Hurricane Factory.
