Did You Know...

... that SDC Rhythm XP added three more rounds to the NSL Cloud Mondial leaderboard?

SDC Rhythm XP at Skydive Sebastian
posted Nov 17th, 2020 - Three more rounds of SDC Rhythm XP have been posted and changed the official NSL Cloud Mondial leaderboard once again, which is calculating the rankings based on the total and the meet average of all rounds.

Three Rhythm scores and videos are still missing, and the U.S. national 4-way team is moving up the rankings with each new scoring number. The adjusted leaderboard is showing the current rankings based on the average after the eight currently posted Rhythm rounds.

SDC Rhythm XP is still in training at Skydive Sebastian in Florida before traveling to Arizona on Thursday for the 4-Way FS Skydiving Championships in Eloy. Arizona Airspeed is training at the same time on their home turf. Round 1 of the live outdoor competition is scheduled for Friday morning.

The last three Rhythm rounds will hopefully complete the NSL Cloud Mondial leaderboard before the first round of the next competition, where both teams have a fresh start after the online competition that both teams integrated into their training agenda of the past weeks one way or another. The NSL News has arrived at the competition site and will cover the event live from Eloy.

Arizona Airspeed at Skydive Arizona
The NSL Cloud Mondial rounds have been a very promising preview of the upcoming 4-way outdoor competition for the two best U.S. teams. Both teams seem to be well prepared for the next live showdown. It will be the first competition where the new lineups are facing each other directly.

Christy Frikken replaced JaNette Lefkowitz for SDC Rhythm XP. Christopher Kuhlmann and Joey Marshall joined Arizona Airspeed after the team's last outdoor competition at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2019, which was also SDC Rhythm XP's last outdoor competition with JaNette Lefkowitz.

The new lineups took on the outdoor sequences of the NSL Cloud Mondial, while they have not met each other yet for a live outdoor competition at the same place and at the same time. The scores and videos of the NSL Cloud Mondial are promising an exciting competition, which will most likely see both teams much closer to each other compared to the last outdoor meet at the FAI World Cup 2019.

Both teams had similar starting points with their new lineups this time, after Airspeed had limited time to prepare for the USPA Nationals 2019, where Matt Davidson competed for Airspeed in Ari Perelman's point slot.

Round 1 in Eloy on Friday morning
NSL Cloud Mondial and this week's competition at Skydive Arizona both have no impact on the teams' status. SDC Rhythm XP is the U.S. national team for the next world meet after winning the national championships last year. The events may still be even more relevant than other meets in previous years, as Formation Skydiving competition has come to a halt due to the restrictions of the corona virus pandemic.

Only smaller events with no need for long and international traveling may take place here and there, and teams can still connect on synchronized leaderboards via the internet, as the NSL Cloud Mondial most recently offered it, and which will be continued for the near future.

SDC Rhythm XP appreciate the domestic opportunity enough to make the trip across the United States to face Arizona Airspeed on their home turf, after both teams posted their first scores and videos of the new lineups on the NSL Cloud Mondial leaderboard.

After eight of the eleven NSL Cloud Mondial rounds, Airspeed is seven points ahead of Rhythm, with tied scores in four rounds. Three more rounds are open, and Round 1 in Eloy will be a very exciting new start for a new live competition.
